I think if it were me, I would change the res, feed them, but cut the nutes down to like half strength and add the peroxide. This should atleast buy you some more time before the mylar get's there.

Battery acid and naval jelly work for ph down. Doesn't make it a good idea to use it. Most ph down is of food grade quality. I was simply passing on something I had read. Have a good one.

How's your plants doing? Did you get your mylar yet? Keep us updated mang.

One plant is getting worse the other is just fine. However the one that is doing worse the roots have turned alittle more brown, and the plants that's doing good is mostly white roots. I am going to do a water change today and add only H202ed water for now. Hope this will help! No I did not get the Mylar yet! I ended up ordering 6 mil black & white Poly from HTG, I heard it would work better to keep out the heat and light. I am waiting for my Ebay listing to end today ( I'm selling my old Aerogarden), and I'm paying HTG with the money I get from the Aerogarden. LOL Money is tight around here! Someone just told me I'm running my dippers too much so I will try three times a day 1 hour each time, instead of 24/7. I'm on RIU every day now I love it here! I will keep you posted thanks !

mine got so bad i choped off a 1/4 of the root where it was brown.......changed res and just water and added h2o2 and 2 days later looks like sombody blew ther nose on the roots thick clear slime all over them .....getting ready to yank and start over with gh nutes. never had a prob. with them. im 6 grows in and this one used fox farm for the first time and this happend im so pissed off cause its super lemon haze and ufo#1 mobydick.

raw deal man, that sucks. I am using expensive seeds as well, and sucks to even lose one. I've used Fox Farm before with out any problems, but this is the first time using HID lights. I also planted a few in a soil less mix so I do have some back up. What is really bothering me is why is it only happening to one plant. I have two in the same tote. LOL

Trust me it is the light getting in your tote . Algae does not take long to grow.
Even using Peroxide at 1 tsp per gallon will not kill it .. I have been there .. Your roots tell it all with the slime and probally smells like a Shit dirty mop too..

If you click my grow and go to the first post there and click the link for my set up .. you can see how much light was getting in my tub a rubberMaid 14 gallon ..

I started a grow and algae formed massive from light penetration in 2 days / I flushed it thinking with 1 stp per gallon was enough .

I then went to 3 tsp per gallon let it run for a for like 15 minutes then flushed it all out .. Needless to say algae was in there and messed me up big time My plants looked just like yours ,,
They did not pull through ... I was not happy ..
. I trashed 6 Easyryders fems ..

Make sure you are toatally light proof in the tub..
Make sure if you use a pump slow the flow to a drip to the rockwool also will help,,, not a flow and lots of air Bubbles the more bubbles the better LOL good luck..

Well, as I said before... my two Aurora Indica babies were sick, so in a last desperate attempt to save them I moved them into Black Gold Organic Potting Mix. The plant that was real bad got worse, and I had to get rid of it. But I expected that. I was really hoping to save the other one that was not in so bad of shape. So far the other one is still alive, but she has been stunted due to the trauma. Hopefully in a few more days I will see her start to grow again. I'll post pics soon, I'm waiting for batteries and charger to come in the mail. I'm sick of buying batteries and only being able to take 20 pics LOL

I also ordered Papaya Feminized seeds, and I will start a new Papaya journal as soon as I get them!

I got my 6 mil black & white poly in the mail, and I used it to cover the top and sides of my tote. I used a hot glue gun, and it worked pretty good. It could have been a little neater looking but it was my first one.LOL Again I'll add pics soon.
