Round 2 - Its about time. A [Soil - CFL - Closet] Grow

Sorry been really busy lately. Im not gonna take pictures anymore at night when I usually do I never have time to post them, I will start taking them a lot earlier in the day and hopefully get them posted that day.

I got behind on watering the vegging plants so I will water them today, they aren't drooping or anything so its all good.

all the flowering plants will probably be watered today as well, keeping them on the water every other day schedule.

The flowering setup is very close to falling over and destroying everything, all the plants, all the broken bulbs would probably kill everything in the veg setup too... only thing holding it up is a long piece of duct tape that doesn't hold for crap, and the setup is slowly leaning more and more over, it was leaning really really badly today, I noticed it the second I walked in... its bad... I really don't know any other way to hold the strip of lights up though... this is really pissing me off though... this stupid piece of shit wont stay up... and plus it needed to be raised about a week ago and still haven't been able to figure out how I am going to do that... man I am so screwed...

I think later on I am going to trash the flowering setup completely and tear everything apart leaving just the light strip, no reflectors or anything... I will lose a shit load of light but I am not even going to bother reflecting it back, it causes too much trouble and makes everything so much harder for me... man I hate freakn CFLs.

On the plus side it may lower temps a bit. I am noticing as it gets nicer outside, the temp in the flowering setup is going up majorly. If its freezing outside max inside the flower setup is about 88, if its 70 outside max inside the flowering setup is 92... hate to see what it will be like on even warmer days -_-.

No problems with the plants though, everything looks fine. .

-Correction: Outside it is 75 and the temerature in the flowering setup is 95 and rising. Lights have not even been on too long and its 95 degrees... this is becoming the highest temps have ever been in the flowering setup -_-...

man seriously WTF. Plus whatever this tape is that I have that looks like duct tape but is a cheap ass knock off brand doesn't stick worth shit, I would be better off using fucking elmers glue... damn I am starting to get mad... I dont have the time to fuck with the setup for 2-3 hours like I used to.

Alright, I just spent another hour in the grow room.

Its obvious things need to change a lot, all the setups are small and the plants are bigger, mainly the veg setup.

I will get money tonight, buy more CFLs and figure out how exactly I am gonna flower the currently vegging plants, tomorrow I take down the floros and put up the new CFLs and start 12-12. I adjusted the vegging setup today so that the 2 biggest plants are "below ground" so theres more space between the tops and the lights on those 2, I was also able to lower the floros 2 rungs on the chain... I am not even sure how I will block all the light tonight though...

I am really worried about heat, 75 outside 98 inside the flowering setup... it hasn't seemed to stop going up either. The flowering setup that I currently have... I dont know how I can make it work... looking at it, I dont see how I can use it any longer... theres really no possible way for me to raise it, its a wonder how it hasn't toppled over so far...

can I tie down one of Betas tops thats too close to the lights? One of them is fine, but the other is really close... I read though that your supposed to tie it down before flowering if height is going to be a problem... I just need to get it about an inch lower... thats it.

I ran outta water watering the vegging plants, none of them even drained. Looks like they get hard water, I will let it evap in the flowering setup for about an hour first though. They also all need transplants, the vegging plants roots are literally all you see at the bottom of the pop bottles, more roots than soil down there... man... so much needs to be done with them... I dont even know how I could possibly transplant them.

I may put the floros on 12/12 tonight just because theyre getting CFLs tomorrow, and I need to flower them ASAP.

I will probably toss the 2 smaller plants I have tomorrow too, CFL Joe and Fronie I believe is the second, CFL Joes been flowering for awhile but its immature and just now on node 3, I dont need him/her. Or the other one thats even smaller.

Will my vegging plants survive in the measly 2 liters if I dont transplant them before flowering? Theyve been fine so far, but I dont want them suddenly all dieing halfway into flowering.

Man everythings fucking going wrong today.

The water I got and let sit out for awhile got tipped over right on the floor, 2 liters of water because I am a fucking idiot set it down for 2 seconds to move a fucking piece of cardboard knowing I would tip it over so I set way out of the way, what do I do, move the cardboard and then look for post its, first thing that happens all the water kicked right over, poured everywhere.

God damn this shits pissing me off so much, second time a large amount of water tipped and spilled today.

Temps at 98.1 when I left... god damn. So +30 degrees outside = +8 degrees in the flowering setup, so I estimate on a 90ish day it will be bout 102-103 inside... god fucking damnit!!!!

hey broken..im havinn tye same issues ..i just cant figure out how to set up these cfls..as the plants get bigger i need more lights, more sockets, mor fixtures, reflection etc.. abd it gets really fustrating..plus i also use lots of duct tape and today i came home and found one of my leaves burnt up cuz the light fell...anyways lookin good man

Hey broken those buds are looking yummy! I don't remember do you have a exaust fan in your flowering set up? Some air flow should help your temps,cfls don't put out too much heat, and a fan should bring temps down to manageble levels. Don't get to flusterated it's looking good man!

Yeah I guess...

Each CFL doesn't put out much heat individualy, but 10 of them on after 5-10 hours and its an oven, atleast inside the CFL setup, outside of it it ranges from 88-92 maxes... not as bad, but I still sweat just being in there for a few minutes.

I got new shit today, I had to buy a new lock with a key, no one is getting in there... something happend today that may completely compromise the grow... I would say 30% chance I have to trash everything today... I am pretty worried.

I will know in about 7 hours if I can continue or if its all over... I spent the rest of my money on the damn door lock that I didnt have enough for what I wanted to get...

I ended up just buying 3 new 26watt CFLs a plugin socket and a y socket adapter... I probably wont even set those up today, they will just stay under the floros for another day on 12/12.

but in response to Rope Smoker, I really cant ventilate at all, holes in the wall not an option, and I mean I can open the door time to time, but I smoke in my room constantly and I cant let smoke get in the grow area... but yeah your right they don't look too bad , Beta has been used to these temperatures its entire life of vegging, so atleast she should not have any problems.

I am very worried though... I will be sure to post here as soon as I find out the future of the grow .

I am going to change things around majorly in the next few days and make things a lot more concealed, even though the whole things so much more secure than before with a new lock, I need to be able to conceal all the plants somewhere in the closet in a moments notice, incase worst comes to worst.

I would say now theres about a 10% chance I will have to destroy everything in the next couple of days... just depends how things play out I guess...

but I am not going to kill the plants until I am caught, I will take the risk and keep em as long as I possibly can.

Shawtys a boy, 99% sure, I took it out of the flowering setup and I will post pictures of the balls later, theres like 2...

fuck.... I spent over an hour and half to read it to have it end like this..... but you wasted money and time, and dedication. I am sorry, but I bet you have learned a lot, about how to grow and who to tell. I have done 5 soil grows, all of them, I didn't talk to any of my friends during the grow basically and if we did hang out IT WAS NEVER at my place. Keep all your stuff, lights and soil aren't illegal. Try again when you have your own place depending on the location. I see ppl on here who grow with their girlfriends.. BAD IDEA IF SHE GETS PISSED... well your next grow whenever will Kick ass I bet

Yeah I do plan on growing again when I move out... should not be too long, but seems soo far away... I will miss growing so much.

I did learn so much though... I will definitely get everything right the first time next time I start.

Man... sucks so much, so close to actually getting bud outta this... tasting homegrown ... I was lookn forward to it soo much.

I may keep the flowering one alive for tonight... but I am positive it will have to go soon, most likely tomorrow... the lights are gonna go off tonight normal time and never come back on -_-.

I am scared to even make a noise in my fucking room or leave it fearing the subject of my grow will be brought up in the non stop arguments screaming and yelling... I havent eatn in about 11 hours, and I should have been to sleep already... I dont even think I will be able to leave my room tonight, or even get into the closet.

I can deal with losing all the vegging ones that are about a foot tall, really really nice plants best I have EVER had... but they were maybe 40 days old... Beta, my first female looking nice, topped, branching great, aww man... and she was so old too.

but its actually someone closer than a friend (I know this sounds gay haha but I am avoiding any details here, for the record Im completely straight XD) ... I really dont wanna go into detail here... but we are not talking at this point (been like that anyways for a long time but a fight doesn't help things at all)... I dont know what hes going to do... things have calmed down for tonight...

I think both of us just want all this shit to be over with because both of us can easily get completely busted for big things... but because someone else didn't keep there mouth shut because shes fucking stupid...

Lights were off for about an hour to 2 hours on the normal light cycle, but I plugged them back in for the last 40 min or so. After looking at Beta... seeing it just now starting to bud in spots... I couldnt even think of letting her die... man...

I killed Shawty the male, ate a few leafs, licked the stem and leafs haha idk why I do that... but hes gone...

I also cut a piece of Beta off, one of its side branches tops, I will let it dry and see if theres any bud there... looks like maybe a pinch... but it will be nasty to smoke though... but what the hell... hopefully Beta doesnt suffer from that cut I made...

I am leaving Beta alive for the time being... hoping everythings forgotten about tomorrow... though it probably wont be...

I want to complete Betas flowering as fast as I fucking can or atleast get it further along than it is, and then take all this shit down...

Tomorrow I will cut all the vegging plants and kill them, at least things wont look as bad with them down, 1 plant versus 4 very leafy foot plus tall plants and others right there... it will only be Betas lonesome self.

Now that everythings closing down, I may consolidate the CFL setup to 4, and ditch the current CFL Setup completely.

At this point I just want to complete Betas flowering any way possible.

-Lights messed up on both setups, out for an hour to 2 hours during normal light cycle, then on for about 40 minutes, and shut off again at normal dark cycle starting time.
-Shawtys a boy and I killed him.
-I cut one of the flowers from Beta, 2 or 3 nodes from a side branch were taken.


All the vegging just recently flowering plants will be killed tomorrow, I will take the RIP pics then... Beta may get to stay..... but as far as anyone round here knows everythings gone and killed. If I continue it will be 1 cord into the closet, a very consolidated setup without a fan, to finish Betas flowering. At this point I could care less about the rest of the plants that had not actually flowered or shown sex yet.

By the way, I have to wake up in 5 hours and because of all this I cant sleep

So devestating but I am just glad my grow had not gotten mentioned again... and I can leave the house worry free knowing my closet has a nice new lock and key so even if I am ratted out no one will get in and I stand a chance of removing everything before I get flat out busted...

If someone saw my setup... they would think I was crazy... I dont even know how my parents would handle finding out about it... finding out I grow is one thing, but seeing everything setup and in action with all the huge plants, soils, nutes, water, timers, AND lights... I would be done for... I would definitely expect them to call the cops on me for that... but they would not until they saw it, so it is really a good thing I got the new lock.

Things aren't as bad as they were, but then again its real late... I dont know how tomorrows gonna be...

If I can make it through these next few days I am in the safe zone... I will make sure no more fights or confrontations happen until Beta is done and everythings picked up and gone.

Yeah... I am just realizing how bad it is... I guess I forgot how serious people take something as harmless as pot... been to long since I have been in trouble for it... actually I think in the 2 years Ive smoked, Ive gotten caught by my parents maybe once or twice, didn't get caught at all this year, so I really forgot how serious people take it... I was only thinking how harmless what I was doing was...

Well... people now know about my grow that really shouldn't have... more people knew about it than I thought...... but as far as anyone knows I tore everything apart, and trashed everything...

The weekend will hopefully let things cool down a bit... but as of right now, I can continue with Beta in EXTREME SECRACY. I will not even go into the closet if someones home. I am also thinking of punching a small hole in the wall behind my TV stand to put the extention cord through so its not fed under the closet door.

As long as the fighting doesn't start up again... which I fear it may, I should be perfectly fine to continue Beta... if it starts again I am at some risk it gets blurted out...

but if the extention cord is hidden, I may go with the excuse I lost the key to the closet like a year ago . Then later on I would have time to ditch it all.

I am still gonna go through with removing allllll of the beautiful vegging plants, is there anything I can do with all the leafs and stuff?

I am so much more relieved I get to finish Beta though... well by the looks of the situation right now, I should be able to.

Hopefully the messed up light cycle yesterday did not throw its flowering in reverse... lights are back on schedule though exactly as they were before.
