routing power cables and air lines without light leaks

Hi I'm currently in the middle of building a new grow room. It's a 6.5 x 3 foot wooden structure. I have to run three air lines and a power bar into the box. My old tent had a pass through that you could cinch up on either side. Do they make a similar product that can be attached to wood?

Not sure about thickness of the walls your going trough, but what about something like a slice of a pool noodle or clone puck...put all items in the middle and squish it into the hole to plug it.
Or something like they use on a desk where they run computer cables through a hole in the top of the desk...like a plastic plug of sorts.

I was at the hardware store looking at the desk grommets. I didn't see any that offered much protection from light. The walls are 1/4" plywood. I like your idea with the pool noodle. Do you think that would work with airlines or would they compress too much?

Just look up rubber grommets you can get a pack will all different sizes on amazon

maybe see if you can find a hard cover (pen tube slightly bigger then air tubing) to put them in before they go in the noodle or coat with epoxy...to give them strength, but if you dont smush it too much I think it would be fine.

Remember you need to get the plug through and that's a bigger diameter than the cord. And also you want to make it so if you need to change anything or run more cords you need to be able to do it without it being a pita.

I was looking at those and they'll probably work for the air lines, the powerbar is another question.

I'm okay with permanent. I don't have any electrical experience to draw on tho. I was looking at one at the hardware store that kinda looks like a slot with broom hairs. It blocked most of the light but I could still see some coming through.

that's what's got me stuck. I was looking to see if I could find a powerbar that somehow disconnected from the plug but no luck.

There are like a million ways to solve this issue.

I would probably use some pre-slit plastic electrical conduit and some spray foam insulation to fill the gap between the conduit and the wood. A couple 90 degree bends in the conduit, tape up the slit, and a few cottonballs shoved among the air lines and electrical cord should kill the last of the light leaks.

The spray foam insulation expands WAY more than you can imagine, be frugal, but you can always cut it to shape later with a butter knife or a cheap kitchen steak knife...lol

Duct tape. A sock with the end cut off stapled to the wood. A black cloth stapled above the hole that hangs over it. Stuff it with toilet paper or paper towel.

If you're looking for fancy, buy something. If you want functional with little cost, use your imagination and something you've already got in your house.

It doesn't have to be that complicated....maybe 2 pieces of panda film since you already have it... like 15cm X 15cm......put your hole in the wall and tape up the panda on inside and outside......or staple or however your attaching it to your walls.
