lowered the light a bit, avoided a major electrical fire when the negative wire decided to separate just enough from the ballast to spark like the 4th of July, and put it in the middle of the plants like this:


I'm thinking of rotating the plants everyday 1/4 to keep them from leaning too much in one direction...let's see how this works out!!!!

well, thought it might be a little update time...how a week's time makes a difference! We're at about 54 days now. The girls are filling out nicely and have stopped growing vertically. Here's a photo of them side by side (both are about 2 3/4 ft high, though one's in a shallower and shorter pot than the other and looks smaller, but it ain't!):

As you can see, I've kept the vertical lighting method, cause it seems to be working well for the overall bud sites (which are plenty!!!) Here are some photos of the top cola and middle buds on the white potted one (which was stretchier):

And here are some photos of the top cola and middle bud sites on the orange potted one...which was stumpier:


Normally, this would be feeding time but I'm a little hesitant to give them any more nutes...should I go one more feeding or just give them water? Also, I'm probably going to have to stake or tie those top colas because they are getting a little too top heavy.

Opinions? Thoughts?

depending on the amount of N in your bloom if its over 2 or 3

i would wait to feed TBH
the "CLAW" is a N tox so this is telling me that the plants no longer need to be fed N


they are looking good so the vertical is working out ? glad to know i could help out i love getting people high even if its by proxy
you could stake them may not be necessary but being prepared doesnt hurt at all
the stalk should thicken up with the plant honestly
the RQ's i have going seem to have some really long flower times but they yield good so what do you expect

Thanks tec, the vertical is working out nicely...it seems a lot of the lower flowers are getting much more light now. I think I'm just going to feed them with top max and a little bio bloom (maybe 1/4 strength) which is 2-7-4. They have the claw but I've honestly had much worse!

ive got one in mostly coco i fed it once in veg and its showing claw i dont see how its possible guess its just a light feeder i guess 1/4 str curled the leaves up like eagle claws >.<

I had a sensi white ice photo which I fed sparingly and everytime I fed it the leaves would curl up like talons...it finished that way and the quality and yield never suffered...i think sometimes it's another thing other than N that does it...
