okay first off this is my first grow. the seeds are just bagseed and im using miracle grow potting mix. my box set up is 2 rubbermaid tubs. the top is wrapped in reflective wrap the sides each have one 26-watt 6500k cfl and the top has a Y split with 2 of the same bulbs so 4 all together. the bottom is just flat white. temp stays around 77-80 (lights on) and 73-75 (lights off) they have been on a 18/6 light schedule for this whole first month.

my main question is are they looking average for being a month old. also is there anything i should look into changing to better my chances of producing something. and when should i change to 12/12. just pretty much looking for any help to keep things looking up.

Very nice looking youngsters. I thought about adding a CFL cabinet to my grow area, something to keep plants in a holding type pattern, as they wait for the flower tent. I would consider getting some more light in there.

I have something similar to this going right now.Great idea with the fan.Might need to add an intake hole for a passive intake to cool it even more. but i think you need more light to pull this off with good results.maybe even add another y to each spot to get more at each location.Soon they will need closer more intense light to grow at a good pace and not get all stretched out and lanky.check mine out in my signature below.i have 16- 26 watt 6500k bulbs for VEG all around and a movable center unit.MORE LIGHT WILL BE NEEDED FOR SURE,once the plant/s is bigger get the lights closer and more of em.Flowering is when more light get you more back.more light in veg most likely get you faster growth with more and close nodes and grow spots.Thats my 2cents im no pro.(2700k)BUT I GOT A PRETTY NICE GROW ROOM ABOUT TO FIRE UP...updated with pictures now.Keep it up.

Might even want to look into LST(Low Stress Train) or even topping. To get more of a bushy plant since you dont have much height.

okay so im going to go get the Y adapter tomarrow and some more bulbs. so then i would have six 26 watt cfl's. and i've been searching the forum about LST and i understand what it does. i just dont quiet understand how to do it, is it just using something to bend the plant sideways, what would be the best way to properly do this?

If you are going to LST, get a couple of 2700k bulbs added in to help you with branching. You might be better off supercropping, but my experience with smaller cabinet grows is limited. Maybe someone else can chime in on suggested training techniques n confined spaces. I'd be interested in learning that too.

okay so my plants will be a month old on wed. at that point i want to top them. im still not sure what topping does, but my buddy who grows tells me its very necessary. so eg eif someone could shed some light as to what i can expect from "topping" that would be great. but after i top them im going to start giving them nutes and veg them out like 2 more weeks then put all my hard work and constant attention into flowering and seeing what i get. if anyone has a good late veg/ early flower nutrient idea that would be very helpful because im still not sure.
anyway here are some pictures of my month old babys (2 days short of a month actually)

let me know how im doin. still my first time
