guys maybe it is my bad english and i did not explain well what i think, but it seems like you didn't understand anything of what i've said..

i'm not depending on runoff, it is an additional INFO, NOT necessary but not completely useless like someone said.

so you really think by checking run-off EC, that will tell you if Ca and K are binding up?

i've never said that. it is just an example of a common lock out of nutes that happens, runoff will only tell you that you have locked out the media

as said before, runoff isn't valuable in soil because the nutes in the water still have to be broken down and won't harm the plant even in high dosage

If nutes are in water they don’t have to be broken down by the microbes in the soil. Not sure what you are talking about but nobody has said you suggested reading soil runoff.

some people use bottled nutes in soil. just sayin!! and it's the organic soil that has to break stuff down into available nutes that can't be tested by run-off
