running out of soil can I use straight peat moss?

Can I just mix perlite vermiculite and peat moss and grow in that or is it necessary to add soil?

I would say yes to your question.....I've never tried it, (thought about it just to see) but would imagine you will have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't stay too wet since peat seems to holds moisture for a long time.

Peat moss is acidic. Moxing perlite should work but watchy PH levels

You would need to amend the mix with 2 tablespoons of dolomite lime per gallon of mix

Thanks! For those who don't know the lime would help to bring the pH up to an acceptable level as well as add calcium and magnesium to the soil, which are essential for plant development.
