Running out of space

this is my first grow and it has went well so far... my 2 biggest plants are now about 8weeks old and are 2.5 ft tall. the problem is that due to a lack of foresight I used a cupboard about 3.5ft tall. The plant tops have already been burnt so I trimmed the burnt bits and changed the fans inside so it blew harder to try to cool the tops down.

I started to flower them 3weeks ago and they are doing well but how much bigger can i expect them to grow? I dont know what strain they are as got them from some grass I bought ages back.

I have two smaller plants which arent as old and started flowering them last week just to make sure I dont suffer the same problem of height. These are white widow as I bought the seeds from the barras. They are doing well and have also increased in size but you can hardly see them in the photo as they are behind the other two plants.

Any advice is welcome. I was going to build a cupboard but dont want the hassle atm.

another thing is I want to go on holiday in the next couple of weeks but what should i do with my plants? I didnt plan the timing of my grow but as like many first timers you learn from your mistakes and thankfully I havent had many yet...

thoughts/advice even cash welcome lol. :hump:

I had a similar problem... grow is in a very low ceiling area so I intionally picked up indica plants that wouldn't grow to over 3 feet. However, not every one knows strain they are growing. The solution is to start tieing the plants down. In containers similar to yours I cut small holes in the sides near the top with a box razor and ran some string through them. Use that leverage to tie down the top of the plant and anchor it in the holes you just made. That way the plants are still tied if/when you remove them from the grow room. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO OVER-DO IT. Start by tieing them down lightly and not causing much stress. After a few more days you'll be able to tie down again/again/again until they are a managable height for your grow room specs. Do yourself a big favor on your next round of growing and start the tie-down process when the plants are 3-4 weeks into veg stage (see LST trainging in the faq).
