Running water 24/7 in aeroponic setup?

Do hydro/aeroponic systems usually run water pumps 24/7 or will that cause overwatering?

If so what is the normal schedule?

At least for aero a common theme is 1 min on 4 min off. I have run 24/0
as well as 1/4 and both results worked fine in aero but I think the 1/4 was
overall better.

The reason im asking i have 5 plants a from seedling to 2 weeks and they were running 24 hours water pump feeding the soil cube constantly...the plants have become yellow/brown and dont know if it is overwatering or because they were being fed distilled water?

I'm using the rainforest 66. i germinated in rapid rooters and then put the rapid rooters in the 6" net pots surrounded by hydroton. i was told to have the sprayer on 24/7 until the roots reached water. once the roots reached water, i changed the sprayer to spray for 15 minutes per hour. i'm in flowering and have a few weeks to go and havent had a single problem (except i'm running out of room!).

i'd say you may be watering too much. the roots need to breathe. have you added nutrients? do you check your solution ph?

In my Aeroflo directions it says to run solid while lights are on... then during the night cycle to run fifteen minutes every hour
