I listen to Rush when I can ... no surprise there, right?

I heard Rush make his comments on contributing to Haiti. All he said was to NOT donate through the White House website and instead contribute through qualified, reputable, private charities. The chances of the donation reaching actual people in need is greater through the private sector than through government. Rush's point was to take a look at the government's reaction to Katrina as an example.

Can we see a show of hands of he libbies in the forum who are happy about government's response to Katrina?

They need to take all them Hypocites of the air, Make people have to pay to listen to there Hate speech and Propaganda, Put em' on Satalite radio!

From your post it looks like I agree with Rush on this one. Bush and the Republican federal government at the time sure screwed the pooch on Katrina. Along with Democrats on the state level just to be fair.

I think the contract at sirrus was 110 million? But If you listened to his show daily, I did Trucking you would know the details, and no your not a dumbass, We just disagree.
I work my ass off everyday and try and live a good life,I do by Some standards and not others go figure? It's very easy to make money when your born into money...."It Takes money to make money",,,That is the Truth,and belive it or not everyone is not born into a family that supports there needs to be able to become what there potential is so therefore it leaves the majority High and Dry. Especially Now, where it's impossable to try and get a loan for a small buissness if you have no support beforhand without the "Tools and backup of say your family,friends,parteners,,etc...Basically Investers.

you a bad guy? never even entered my mind. believe it or not i dont prejudge people. even libs. most libs heart is in the right place. its their thought process that gives me trouble.

for instance, taking money from a hardworking person like yourself and then using it to build public housing. not only does it hurt you, but it inprisons the person who gets the house, the food stamps, etc.

this country offers an individual the best chance at success. i have been at both ends of the scale (fairly well off and flat ass broke) a few times. hard work always paid off. but in todays political climate it is getting tougher on the honest hard working poeple. every time you turn around its gvot fees for this, extra tax for that. everything these fucktards, at all levels of govt, do involves stealing more money from working people and giving it to non-contributers. and thats what i hate. its also what the original teaparty was all about. the king didnt do any of the work, why should he get all the money? thats all.


here is another lib program that makes no sense what so ever. healthcare. one of the bills taxes "cadillac" plans. so here you have a person that does all the right stuff, works hard, saves and buys his family the best healthcare he can afford. what does the govt want to do, tax the shit out of him. so govts gonna take this guys money and give it to some person who could care less about doing the right thing and give him the same type healthcare as the other guy? tell me what sense that makes? absolutely none.

then to boot, they drop the union cadillac tax. WTF? so if i work for a uniion i dont have to "contribute" to the slackers healthcare? that whole thing is fucking insane.

Took another job in a small Fabrication shop,,,,F-that,,,no heat,,ac,,Back breaking work,,in a unsafe shop,,,,Quit,,,then lost all income,,,Now I'm doing what I Love "On the Road again"....Just wish i could afford my own new rig and trailer Oh yea,,,I'm used to get bent over and fucked, That's life lol,,,

i am contemplating a career change too. thinking about becoming a full time handout leech. a friend of mine, who doesnt work, is shacked up with a chick who has 3 kids with him. she gets welfare and foodstamps which they live off. they also get free heathcare, about a thousand bucks worth of free heating oil and a bunch of other benefits. recently they took advantage of first time homebuyers program and got all kinds of goodies for that. they just did their taxes and got 12 thousand bucks. that is not a misprint, 12000 back in taxes even though neither worked. all said and done they probably "made" 30,000 in handouts plus what he makes doing side work under the table running heavy equiptment.

i didnt bust may balls this year but worked steadily about 40 hours per week on average. way less than usual because i had some health issues in the last 2 years. double carpal tunnel surgeries and 6 weeks down with pnumonia. i will probably owe 2000 when its all said and done.

oh, and i was at the local saloon wednesday and i watched him drop a thousand bucks in a gambling machine.

there are things that are drastically out of balance in our system and need attention. dont get me wrong, if the govt said he can get all that then more power to him. this isnt about individuals. its the system that allows him to do it that i have the problem with.
