AVID combined with Dr. Bronner Peppermint Soap works great. If you're in Cali you can get Abamectin shipped to you which is the active ingredient in AVID but for some reason is still legal. M-Pede works good just to keep things rotating, you can pick up 2.5 gal of that stuff for 90 bucks, it's safer than AVID, you can use it during flowering, and your plants LOVE it!

Nuke 'Em works alright, but it doesn't work quickly. Big Time Exterminator is caca in my opinion as a foliar spray, I swear to god the red mites must have thought it was an aphrodisiac because they just got worse and worse the more I used it as a spray (yes I know to rotate pesticides and spray every 3-4 days with mite issues.) Russet Mites just take time to get rid of, they are very strong and resilient.

If you aren't already flowering and the damage isn't too bad, you can spray with 70% isopropyl and that kills every bug and all their eggs. If you already have a bit of damage on the leaves it will make them worse though. Plants that are relatively blemish free don't seem to notice anything happened. I say don't spray during flower because you'll probably dissolve your trichomes.

With products like AVID, Forbid, Hexagon, Pylar, and the like, it is SO VERY VERY FUCKING IMPORTANT TO WEAR A FULL FACE MASK WITH PROPER CARTRIDGES. I've once been bed ridden for weeks on the verge of death because of spraying AVID indoors with a half-face mask with improper cartridges that were used for more than 6 hours already. If your cartridges are more than 6 hours old, throw them the fuck away like you're angry with them. Do not ever try to use one of these products with a half-mask and goggles, the mist will settle on the bridge of your nose and forehead, and all it needs to do is soak into your skin near your sinuses to massively fuck up and put you in the hospital.

Do not ever attempt to spray a solvent like isopropyl with a mask that has pesticide filtering cartridges on it, it will not help you. You need cartridges specifically made for solvents.

You will probably not find any of these cartridges at Home Depot, Lowes, or ACE, your best bet is to go online.
http://www.orosha.org/pdf/pubs/1018.pdf safety information that could save a life.
http://www.envirosafetyproducts.com/ find your safety products here. They are not the cheapest nor do they have the best shipping deals, but they do have everything you need and is good to at least find what you are looking for.

If it isn't NIOSH approved, you're putting your health at risk. A good friend of mine spent a very long stay in the Hospital because of this stuff and the doc said the inside of his lungs are toast and any respiratory infection for him will be potentially life threatening, he also runs out of breath really fast, so now he can hardly even pull enough air through a respirator mask. I was lucky that I was just bed ridden and didn't end up that bad. But I never went to the doctor because as soon as they find out what you sprayed, they report you to some government agriculture agency and they tried to fine my buddy thousands and thousands of dollars, he had to make up some BS story about his mom's farm in Pomona, which is actually a farm, not a pot farm, and she is licensed to have that shit.

A full body suit is also an absolute must. It can be a rain coat/pants, but it must be washed in a heavy bleach or hydrogen peroxide solution BY ITSELF, and NOT IN YOUR REGULAR WASHING MACHINE, after every single use NO EXCEPTIONS EVER. Which is why I recommend a moisture resistant, or even splash resistant disposable suite w/ hood and booties, they are as little as 5 dollars a suit online, and god damned worth it.

You may think I'm being way to particular about this, maybe a little OCD, but that may be because you have never experienced the absolute horror of being poisoned by this shit.

As long as you take proper precautions, I can tell you that you will be safe using these products, but to not use the proper equipment is silly. I got away with it a few times, it wasn't until I used it heavily indoors that I got poisoned, but why would you risk it?

It's important to shower immediately after spraying, even if you don't think you got any on you, for at least 20 minutes.

THERE IS NO ANTIDOTE FOR AVID POISONING, YOU EITHER TOUGH IT OUT OR DIE.

I recommend using a atomizer to spray your plants with or a paint gun with an air compressor so you can get the job done as quickly as possible while keeping the spray as far in front of you as possible. This way you wont have to fuck around trying to spray under every leaf.

Haven't seen a singh of em In over 2 weeks! Flowering has started an no sign.. an when I had em inside at first singh of flower they demolished my crop! I think is what did the final trick was azatrol, beleave it not. The pyrethrin an spinosad knocked em down to bout nothing. Then someone on here can't remember who tho said to use azatrol/ azamax also, cause it dont kill them but stops them from eating an breeding eggs he went into depth bout it .. so I added azatrol to the battle bout 2-3 weeks ago.. an so far nothin!! Thinking the pyrethrin an spinodad killed em. An the azatrol stopped them from breeding! But they are heathly an green now!

Bad thing is my found out my neighbor is growing peeked over the fence to BS wit em an he showed me his ladies an there covered!! He's a 1st timer.. an the more I BSd with em. He said a buddy Gave em a cpl months back.. an happen to be round thr time I got the russets! ! So thinking i found the source of em.. when I see em next I'ma tell em how I got rid of em to help em. An hopefully stop them from working therr way into my green house.. his are in the open too.. blah k rant over. Lol jus wanted to give yall a update ..

Haha I'd be so mad at my neighbor. You should just volunteer to come over and spray for him, otherwise he'll probably battle it forever and you'll get infested again. Knock on wood.

If you'd rather not use a neurological poison like abamectim or whatever it is (avid) you can try warming up pure need and mixing it with water and a capful of Dr bonner sal suds and it'll do the trick for a tenth of the price and your smoke won't possibly give u cancer
You can add a citronella extract or rosemary extract to give it an extra kick

I think I wrote to you about your problem before. I did massive research on russet last winter on my thread. The mycotrol-o mixed with suffiol-x is the way I beat them. It's alittle pricey but well worth the scrilla. I also used rootsheild mixed with neemasheild as a root drench twice during the season. NO RUSSET at all in my flowers . all the other things you are trying do not work. sub mycotrol for botinagard es because mycotrol has been pulled from the shelves. next year you'll know what to use. You have got the borg now and it's impossible to get it out of your flowers at this point.

I've heard great things about mycotrol-o, never tried it.

This season I talked a lot of shit on Nuke 'Em and Big Time Exterminator. I still think Big Time is best used as a root drench and not very effective as a spray. However, I finally bit the bullet and bought a $120 gallon of Nuke 'Em, and holy shit, it's very effective after the third spray. 3 applications over the course of 9 days, and it ate all the mites, all the thrips, and all the powdery mildew that was growing into the flower sets. There is only one plant that is still heavily infested, and that's because it was so beyond fucked when I found the issue. I think sometimes, unless you want to use something extreme, it's best to throw away plants that are absolutely fucked, full colony status.

I think I can still win the fight, I think it's never really too late, I'm going to go at it with a shop vac and pull them all off, remove the heavily infested leaves, and wipe off all the remaining non-hashable leaves with 70% isopropyl, which I know is a once-and-done eradication as long as you get them all the first time.

But again, Nuke Em has been a life saver, it's just yeast and salts, and I think some soap, but it's absolutely fine to spray on flowers, even the day before harvest. I accidentally broke off some buds when putting up some cages late in the season, and I had sprayed just the day before with Nuke Em. Nice and smooth smoke, no ill-tastes or harshness (I also feed low EC so it's all smokeable even if I have to skip flush due to some disaster.)
