I haven't seen NFzyme before. I'm guessing that Canna, NF and CyCo Zyme pretty much do the same thing. Cyco zyme is $8 more expensive per litre but it might be better. It says that CyCo is more concentrated and has more enzymes and ....stuff in it. $41 per litre is kind of expensive

My seedlings are all growing nicely, pumps and timers are all working well.
I bought a bucket from the hydroponics store today which I have done some modifying to.
Because I am adding the bucket to a system with a much lower water level I've decided to put the drains in at two different heights. I was wrecked when I came up with the idea. I'm not sure how well its going to work.
I was going to test this bucket out first, remove the rectangle crate and replace it with more buckets. Because of its large water capacity I'm thinking of making one of the buckets like a transfer station or a second reservoir.
If I had a heater and another small water pump in a bucket on the other side of the system I could localize more of the plumbing and cut down on the clutter of hoses and taps. It will also help keep water temps above 20°c through winter. Its about 6°c outside here tonight but still 28°c in the setup.
I've got a pic of my strain and the "Amsterdam bubblegum". My strain is on 4th third node and producing three fingered leaves while the "AB" is only just starting on its third node, producing 1 fingered leaves but is twice the size. It has nice fat fingers which is a nice chance from the sativa strain I've been growing to date.

Its a work in progress. I still haven't settled on a favorite growing method. After this grow I should be able to tell for sure if DWC is as good as they say. If the 20L Hydroton pots out do the DWC pots again this time I'll start experimenting on Aeroponics or NFT. I know that you can get great plants out of the big pots but I'm looking for something thats more efficient, easier to maintain and more compact. It sucks having to haul around 20L pots of wet clay beads. I like eights granulated rockwool setup.

They grew like fuck in four days. The first pic was taken on the 4th and the second one was taken tonight. The fogger is working great too although it seems to lower the humidity to around 30%. Weird huh....

I bought a 36w 150 mm Ø ezi fan which has brought temps down 4-5°.
Still no joy with the humidity as yet, its been hovering around 35% ever since I used the ultrasonic "humidifier".
I ran out of acid today. The PH stays up in the high 7's if I don't tamper with it.
I found some root porn today too.

your rh sounds good for flowering but a little low for veg (is that what your trying to correct) also what ph are you running these girls at?
its a bitch about the heat huh ,ive got alot of fans running to keep mine at 28

Hey Jimmy, thanks for dropping in.
The RH is great for flowering but really bad for veg. They are getting plenty of water with hourly drip feeds and the coco seems to be staying moist in between watering.
What I don't understand is why the RH was stable at 60% before I used the ultrasonic fogger in the grow for about 2 hours. I think it may have fucked my sensors or something, I can't get the RH above 40% without the aid of a spray bottle. I need to put more money/effort into stabilizing temp/RH but the last $60 I paid for the six inch inline and duct was the end of my pocket money for this week.
You would think that with all of that wet hydroton basking away in the fake suns that high humidity would be problem instead.
PH is around 6.5 - 7.0. I caught it at 7.5 last res change. I blame the fogger.....
Growing in such a tight enclosed space poses a lot more variables, requires higher degree of skill to setup and manage. After 3 years of continuous growth I am still a total noob ffs.

I ran out of phosphoric acid. I used it at about 1ml per liter but its too high. I know that one of my flowering suppliments is high in phosphoric acid but I'm not sure if it is a good idea to use it through veg. I will pick some more up at the store tomorrow.

Here is another update peoples. I've started training the leaves to sit under the lower branches. They're sending out roots like mad, hopefully they are going to stretch out a bit more. I've vegging under 3:1 HPS/MH so I should have expected stocky plants.
One of the plants was stressed out after being accidentally crinkled, its main tip was growing all fucked up so I fimmed it the best I could. I seems to have developed a def which I have corrected with a few foliar doses of accent "green up". I got a solid state (bi-metal) temp/RH sensor off a friend and it still shows 35%RH. I put the fogger back in there and the plants growing close to it are doing much better.
