S&P TD-Silent Series vent fan question... Are you using one?

Hey fella's... I bought an S&P fan online and I wanted the TD-Silent 150, but like doofus I accidentally ordered the original TD-150, not the silent version! D'oh!

It's a bit too loud for my taste so I'm trying to decide if I should eBay this one and get the 150S or if I should build some kinda sound insulating box to mount the fan, sections of tubing and maybe even the carbon filter.

I'd like to do the easiest option and unfortunately I wrapped the fan in Dynamat, so I can't return it to the vendor now...

Anyone using the 150S? I can't find any videos demonstrating the Silent series so I'm not sure if it's really that much quieter or not. I'd have to say that most of the noise is from the air flow. I thought about buying some insulated ducting, but at nearly $30 for 25' at the local hardware store, and not being sure if it will really do the job or not, I'm left on the fence to decide. I could buy it and return it if I don't hack it up.

Thoughts?

I picked up a ceiling fan speed controller and now I have proper vent rate and the fan is making a very acceptable noise level now.

Steve, it's a little late but I have a TD-150S. They are pretty damn quiet even on high. However, you cannot get around the sound of the air flow. It's definitely quieter than the bathroom fan installed behind sheetrock. I'm actually looking at purchasing another for a 2nd tent. If you still have questions bro PM me.
