Safe to use this extention cord?

This is prolly a dumb question but is it safe to use this extention cord to plug a single 1000 watt/450 cfm combo and a few flourescent lights into? I figure as long as it dosen't go over 15 amps i'm good but I just wanted to be on the safe side and get a 2nd opinion

In the description on walmarts site it says it has a 15-amp circuit breaker. That is one of the important parts imo.

I dont use power bars with out their own circuit breakers.

Avoid this if you can, you do not want to use an extension cord for that kind of load for that kind of time. It would be worth every penny to hard wire it in. With the Light/fan combo alone you are probably pushing over 12 amps which is truely where a 15 amp breaker should trip (80% load). This would create a fire hazard, not horribly so, but if it gets wet (happens a lot in grow rooms) or tripped over, etc, it can be an issue.

if your not electrical savvy then i would suggest maybe getting a longer corded socket for your 1000 watter so you could plug your ballast directly into a wall. i wouldn't feel too awful worried about running an extension cord for your inline......your inline only though really.... dont overload the extension cord, unless you want to be on pins and needles about fire hazards, which you should be if you put yourself into that particular scenario

I need a 8-10 foot extention cord... no way around that really. Can anyone recommend some products that are 100 % safe
There is always a way around that. Fires are the biggest issue in grow rooms and 1000 watts for 12 hours is a heavy draw. This is your home and life, not mine, but it would be worth a couple hundred bucks to have an electrician come in and set a new circuit for you if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. A fish tank would be a good heavy draw item you could say you are putting in.
