Hello,
I’m in my last couple weeks until harvest, and towards the bottom of my plant is showing signs of PM, I’m about a week to two weeks out from harvest. Will spraying Safer Brand Garden Fungicide affect the bud quality? It states good to spray up until harvest. But I’d like to know anyone else’s experience using the spray and dealing with PM late in the flower stage.
Thanks in advance!!
I have used he same product in the same situation and it does make bud taste a little gross and isn't very healthy.
I will never do that again.
If I had on that late I would either chop early...
Or spray with hydrogen peroxide every day and still pull it a bit early
Then this part is important....
Make a diluted solution of h2o2 in a 5 gal bucket and then just dunk and soak your harvested, trimmed buds. After each branch has soaked for about 30 sec, remove and rinse with straight water. Room temperature, never cold or hot.
This kills the on spores on your buds. The microscopic ones that you can't see.
If you don't do this, the mildew will survive on your curing bud!
Left untreated, you will lose it all.
It may sound strange, but is totally safe and widely recommend.
Google for proof and tutorials.
I have used this method a few times when I was first starting out, before I had an integrated pest management system in place. (Preemptive spraying etc)
It actually improves he scent of the buds a lot.
Good luck
PS don't forget to treat anything else you may have in veg or a different room.
PM spreads to everything extremely quickly.
Once you see it on leaves, it's already everywhere!
