Sample Nug?

So how early can you take a sample nug from a growing flowering plant?
Not saying I will, but its so hard to look at the plants after all this time and still not have a taste to smoke.

Is it as long as you see trichs it'll have an effect? Just curious... how early have you guys tasted or harvested.?

My last grow i took a sample around the 7th week , let it dry for a week and cured it for a week and it was great , but taking buds can stunt ur plant from flowering due to the stress of having to heal the cut off nug

I recently had to harvest early due to.....well let's just say a domestic situation. It was Black Domina at about eight weeks flowering. The trichs were mostly clear, nowhere near ready. After a long cure and extensive testing it went into my personal stash for special occasions like Father Son Bonging (similar to bonding). The long cure is not necessary for potency, mostly for taste.

grab your rusty trusty jewelrs scope and check out those trychs. but id clip for a "customer survey" around the 8th-9th week.

Lmao I keep talking about it, I'll go as far as pulling the plant out and sitting on the floor with it with a pair of scizzors. But I just can never find that right node to cut off.

Its like, I wanna take a small like popcorn nug, but those are less ready then the top nugs, but I can't bring myself to cut a top nug off. It's such a dilemma.

Well I pulled one this morning, as I was thinking that I would harvest this weekend (tomorrow starts week 10), very sticky and the taste on my fingers was incredible :bigjoint:

Hey Gidget

I harvested the top buds this morning, (letting bottom finish up)
got 92.4 grams wet (so far) with 97 watts of light :bigjoint:

Flash makes em look a bit redder than they actually are, but yeah she got rootbound a few weeks ago and did get stressed over it, but was able to finish her after I fixed it :bigjoint:

Mmmmm that looks sooo good. I've been dry a few days, did end up snipping a nug drying it and smokin it. It wasn't bad, just very heady.

Couple more weeks!!! Maybe I need to hide my scizzors. Snipped another one, this one is only 2.1 before drying, so yea... it's good though! :joint:

Patience.... But if you intend to do it, at least have another person to try the "sample" It's better to get two opinions.
