your plant will bud when you make it think its summer coming to a close by giving it 12/12 equal hours of light and darkness budding is triggered by a hormone that is activated by the absence of light.
god made it this way so growers wouldnt get confused.
giving light during the dark hours will turn your plant into Caligula in short it will hermie.
buy 20 budget low energy bulbs and the fittings ( bulbs are a pound in poundland ) fittings are £1.29 in wilcos mount them on a piece of 1m x 1m 5 mm MDF wooden board and you'll have all the lighting you need to complete your grow.

If you are vegging up you can leave your lights on 24 hrs a day then change to 12/12 when you are ready . try looking for george cervantes videos on youtube and read read read read all you can, theres no substitute for experience but thorough research from RELIABLE KNOWLEDGEABLE scources will set you up with a feel for growing,

Interesting complete darkness ??? always wondered how us out door growers get great results when its a full moon out and stars are sparkling at night ... and it never gets stressed and stunted growth ..
you mention 12/12 ???? Although that is industry standard 18 / 6 //// 12 /12 you plants can start flowering at 14 hrs of light

awe so i guess street lights as well never a issue ? my back yard is lit up lots with sensor back yard light never a issue back alley all lit up never a issue either and there Bright i have flowered many times with not so great darkness with out any issues

Darth I agree that poor genetics is mainly the cause of a hermie other than poor growing techniques causing stress.... Not once am I questioning your theory... The moonlight was question so I gave a reasonable answer.... As far as street lights go... I don't live in the ghetto so even outdoors that's never a factor for me haha

I had assumed that as its a bagseed grow that budget must b an issue... of course if you have a couple of hundred quid buy a hps and cooling. ..

T5's are hardly expensive.... Cheap on Amazon or you could buy a decent 250watt cfl hood from a hydro shop for around $100

yes then u gotta cool the whole shabang + extractor etc
i use hps myself they in my opinion give the best result.
i've got 1000w hps + 2x 600w halides 3mtr tent but as sno capz just said £100 and ur in bizz ,how much time you research and how much careful patience u employ will determine your yield

Yea well T5's and cfl's are much different than hid lighting... Of course you need to exhaust that much heat... I currently have a small closet grow using t5 over the tops and cfl's on the sides for further penetration.... Wanna know what I use to cool the area? A $15 fan from a department store... Man now that's getting pricey
