Save my Plants! Help Please. Newbie here....

My plants are going yellow and look burnt.

I'm new to hydro so could do with some pointing out as to what I'm doing wrong.

I've got a 4 pot (27 litres) RDWC bubbler system. I've not put any nutrients in yet as the plants are only a week old (auto- blue cheese)

I've got a 16 inch fan with 5 inch extractor and a 600 watt sodium lamp all in a 1.5 x 1.5 x 2.0 m tent. The average temperatures are between 28-32 c . So this could be the problem. Not sure what else could be doing this to my plants. Please see the pictures.

Those aren't burns my friend but Heat Stress : Curling up and/or twisting !!
Find a way to lower the temperature and/or increase the circulation in the grow room or grow area if heat is the problem. Having a small fan blowing over the tops of your plants will help prevent hot spots from forming directly under your grow lights. If your marijuana plants are just getting too much light, try removing some of the lights or moving your lights further away from the tops of the plants.
When learning how to weed, it's best to try to keep things at a comfortable room temperature at all times for optimal growth. If it's too hot for you, it's probably too hot for your plants.
Good Luck ! :leaf:

IMO the HID is too much for them at this young age. It is heat stress that's causing ur problem. If u can, replace the HID with a 2 tube T5 fixture. If that is not possible, pull ur light back off them as much as u can. This will cause some stretching, but it's better than frying ur babies like an egg. Wait a few weeks or til the plants have had a chance to establish a good root system and began rapid growth, and return ur light to the standard distance for HID bulbs. Good Luck and Happy Smoking :bigjoint:

I had exactly the same problem with my grow tent of the same dimensions and a 600w HPS. After trying everything besides buying a cool-tube or running an A/C I still couldn't keep the temperatures down. I ended up switching out my 600w globe for a 400w and my temps have been sitting around 22-26 degrees, which is great.

Anything short of a cool-tube or A/C in a space that confined with a 600w HPS just won't cut it, from my experience anyway.

Thanks guys I've ordered a 400 watt bulb... will post results to see if this was the cause although I believe it must be.

I love this site btw ... people are always so helpful! Weed is a religion :)

HID is NOT to strong for seedlings, don't know what you are talking about. The HEAT can be though if it is not under control. And that's what his problem is, heat.
