Scared to use my new pipe.

About an hour ago my sister bought me a metal and plastic pipe and when she gave it to me my first instinct was to dry hit it, so I did and got a piece of plastic shaving in my mouth, that wasn't a big deal but I figured I'd keep dry hitting it to get any more plastic out and to my surprise I got a tiny little metal shaving on my tongue. Now obviously I'm sketchy about smoking and swallowing little shards of metal. So should I just not use the pipe? Put a screen in the mouth piece? Just use it and not worry about it? Or is there a way I can clean out any little metal shavings that could still be left from cheap manufacturing?

glass is the way to go

If thats all you have just clean it really well...but yeah glass for sure is better and small glass pipes are around $10

Thanks for the advice, it'll be a nice orniment but I'll definitely replace my old glass pipe with a new one, only reason I had to pick this one up
