say you enlisted and decided it's not for you..can't you quit within a certain period of time?
Correct, the first six months you have the option of using 'failure to adapt' as a means of reasonable and honorable discharge.

It is rarely announced or explained to new recruits, drops outs would be more frequent.

in what way?
Kill the fucker
Bergdahl was a deserter during war time. Why should Obama give a shit about the punk ass bitch?
No matter what Obama did the Republicans would blame him. Therefore the proper thing to do was Ignore the bitch and let him enjoy his desertion

If you drop out during boot camp. You are free to enlist with another service. Thought it was kind of strange to have guys who were in the air force and army for less than 2 months being in Navy boot camp

Yup. It is a quick switch because you have already been through medical inspections and have all the tests and results of those tests. They could have you sign and put you on a plane to basic in almost no time.

Take another oath, wait for a bus, get on a plane. Welcome to another branch of military.

correct that was my "term" see my/me/mine rather than beat around the bush and calling a spade a spade.

imo based upon reports, that it had to do with something psychiatric.

And BOOM!!!!!!

Returning from his time in the Coast Guard, Bergdahl told friends he had faked a psychological disorder to get out, according to the Post.

If I was an 18 year old kid who pussied out I would definitely lie to lessen the embarrassment from my social circle. I would have chosen a different excuse though, this raises questions about that being a possibility.

Bergdahl’s friend said she shared the journal and other correspondence with the newspaper because she had become concerned that the soldier was being falsely portrayed as a calculating deserter.

-WP

The journal allegedly shows a mental breakdown before he was captured.

Maybe the journal was all part of his calculating plan. 8)

A liar calling someone a liar? Good luck, your credibility needs so much work that anything you call me is just plain hilarious.
Sweet dreams there bucky, hope you don't feel the need to put on your KKK costume tonight and join in on the cross burnings in the lawns of the few minorities that live where you chooses to live. Its like when you told me you chose to live there mainly because it was 99% white, but whatever.

BTW, you don't have any firearms experience and have never even picked one up because it scares you so much, this you have admitted on several occasions.
I doubt BuckHead made that decision. More likely the wife.

which is nothing but heresay.

YOU and the american people are not courts of law.

you republicans will practically combust if you don't get a scandal out of something positive the president did.
Where's the "positive"? Direct testimony from a (6 actually) eye witness is not hearsay.. And it's not spelled "heresay"

at least i'm not a two-faced hypocritical old man that's going to die an agonizing death from his ailing prostate (i heard the pain is excruciating).

and yes, i am proud of the fact my body is tight and my face porcelain and unwrinkled..who wouldn't be?
Yet you're sitting alone in your cave on a Friday night. Why don't I believe you?

he sure would..all republicans can do is manufacture scandals because their party has NOTHING to offer..NOTHING!

how quickly we forget..let's take a trip down the bush memory lane, shall we?

  1. Maj. Gen. George Weightman, was fired for failures linked to the scandal.(2007) [34]
  2. Maj. Gen. Kevin C. Kiley resigned for failures linked to the scandal.[35]
  • PRISM (surveillance program) was signed into law on Sept. 11, 2007, by President George W. Bush after he signed the Protect America Act allowing the National Security Agency to start a massive domestic surveillance program known as PRISM on Sept. 11, 2007.[36] “I put that program in place to protect the country”, he said.[37]
  • Felipe Sixto was appointed by President George W. Bush to be his Special Assistant for Intergovernmental Affairs as well as Duty Director at the Office of Public Liaison. He resigned a few weeks later on March 20, 2008 because of his misuse of grant money from the U.S. Agency for International Development when he had worked for the Center for a Free Cuba.[38] He was sentenced to 30 months in prison for stealing almost $600,000 for personal use.[39]
  • Timothy Goeglein, Special Assistant to President Bush resigned when it was discovered that more than 20 of his columns had been plagiarized from an Indiana newspaper. (2008)[40]
  • Scott Bloch was appointed by President George W. Bush to head the United States Office of Special Counsel. On April 27, 2010 Bloch pleaded guilty to criminal contempt of Congress for "willfully and unlawfully withholding pertinent information from a House committee investigating his decision to have several government computers wiped ...."[41] On February 2, Magistrate Judge Deborah A. Robinson ruled that Bloch faces a mandatory sentence of at least one month in prison.[42][43]
But, Booooooooooosh!
