well this plant has been flowering for quite some time, since mid february. ive already decided im cutting the top before the rest so this only pertains tho the top cola. so quite a few of the calyxes are very fat with contracted hairs/amber trichs and look done, but it looks like it still wants to keep going with new small calyxes/white hairs. so what should i do? i want to wait till the newest buds to have time to get fat, but i dont want to let it go for to long and some of it degrade. if i cut while hairs are white, will they look like that on the finished product? also, can i cut those little one leafers on the top shoots? they block a lot of light. here are the pics, i know this was a lot of noob rambling, but ive never been in this situation with a plant. its such weird structure genetics. its my 2nd outside grow, testing out strategies you understand.

where r u from? It looks like it might br trying to revert back to veg I dunno for sure tho..

It is not going to "finish". It has switched back to vegetative growth. You can either chop it now or give it another 6 months and harvest a tree.

Appears you are feeding her "grow" ferts as it's putting on new growth as in 'reveg'...any bud growth is still progressing toward maturity so be careful of judging the whole plant for either ....I often have plants that put on new growth near chop time....and use a 50/50 rule of thumb....is half the plant mature enough to chop? If I chop, I lose the potential new growth....but if I waint for the new growth to mature more, the NOW growth goes past maturity and degrades the worthiness IMO....sooooo, a feather in the hand is always better than a bird in the air.....
IIWU....I'd acquire a 420 scope (at least 60x)...and check trics for maturity on the "main" bud structure...watch calynx swelling, note hairs are receding and turning brown/orange, even when new growth shows white hairs...it's back to the 50/50 thang.....good karma to you.

It's certainly up to you man, it's your plant. But for the time and effort you put in, you might as well pull it, and get a new seedling going so that it will finish out before the season ends. Provided you plan to grow indoors, then I simply wouldn't waste my time growing a plant thats so horribly stunted at this point.
Best off chopping and getting a fresh start. AND NEXT TIME MAKE SURE SHE GETS ALL 12 HOURS OF UNINTERRUPTED DARKNESS EVERY NIGHT!!!

And when he says Depo it, he means throw it in some darkness and get it back into flower. It's stressful, and it very well may hermie as a result...but...I'm not sure how much worse it's really going to get...only thing that could hurt it more is mites. ;-)

I still stand by my advice. Chop and Restart!

All those voting to leave it another week or 2 more likely don't understand it's starting to reveg, and most likely believe your simply asking if your plant is ready and/or if you should chop it, thinking it will continue to ripen.
And it's also possible to check Trics with the Macro (closeup) setting on a good camera. I got a very simple digi cam for xmas that does 12MP, and on closeup mode, @ full resolution, you can zoom in (on the cam or on your computer) and see the trics.

yeah this has bassicaly been my line of thinking, i just chopped before sunrise because the oldest trichombs were turning all amber, so i didnt have much time. it was at least 50/50 more like 60/40, so i went a head with it and chopped the top bud. everything below that was more like 25/75 more new, so im going to keep going ass more gets mature. i want those bottom branches to get big for next season. :) the actual bud looks a lot less shitty after i manicured it. heres some pics.

yeah, i understand that its revegging now.... the light cycle was a liitle sporatic, started leaving it in a spot where it gets more light thinking it will increase bud denseness..... i think thats what did it. :P
i forgot, i have these plants started a while back, and a few seedlings. im pretty sure the non topped plant is going to be a male, but the other looks promising. thank you guys so much for giving me this great advice. will + rep. :)

Pic 4 looked...semi acceptable.
You'll get it this next time. Just be careful with the light cycles, outside light varies with every location, so check your locations light hours if your going to attempt to grow outside.

i know, its pretty fuckin ugly looking at it now hah. thatnks for the support though :P heres a picture of it right now though, it smells fuckin awesome.
