Scotts, Black Magic Potting Soil

Has any one used Scotts or Black Magic Potting soil? Both are made by Scott's. They are pretty cheap, $6 and $7 respectively, at Big Lots.

I have had no luck with this soil.

If your goin cheap I like to get black gold.

I used Scott's potting soil for my first grow and it failed terribly. I don't entirely blame the soil. But it had a hand in it. It was my first grow and I did almost everything wrong. No ventilation, not enough adequate lighting, overwatered, heat buildup leading to plant shock. After all that abuse still managed to get a tiny smokeable amount. Just get some FFOF mix. It's just as inexpensive as the brands you just mentioned.

I've heard some growers on RIU have used black magic and have had decent results. Good luck. Hope this helped.
