I've been looking at Game Cam's of late, they have come a really long way. A friend of a friend got busted because 5-O set up in his grow, Camera's people and the such, and of course their are always the ripper's. I always worry about that, so I think about Game Cam's, but there so expensive, the remotely operated type, plus you used to have subscribe to a service to view the photos, well not any more.
The price all be it is still up their but way down from $1,000.00 a couple of years ago. Now we can buy the Scoutguard SG580OM from Trailcampro.com for about $350.00. What is nice about this Camera is you can use a cellular phone via T-Mobil to view the photos, you don't even have to enter the woods, or be alerted and enter the woods to confront the rippers.
My question is; If by chance 5-O found your camera could they find out who the photos are being viewed by?
They also make a Game Camera with a remote viewer, it is cheeper but you have to be pretty close (I believe) to the camera to review the photos, which won't work so good for the ripper thing unless your plants are still to young to harvest, than you will at least have a heads up. I also like this idea because you still don't really have to enter the grow site to see what is going on.
Hiding the camera from prying eyes is pretty easy if you take the time and do a good job. But you never know, and what is the use of a camera if theft, and being caught cannot be prevented. So any input would be greatly appreciated.
