SCREW YOU PUMPKIN CAT!! (CAT TRAP PART I)

If you want my fix I’ll take some grief, here goes, use a cage trap to catch cat should be easy. Use it right there at your plant . Let him sit in jail for a bit then shake the cage up. Not to the point of hurting cat but make it an unpleasant event. Then let him go, he wont be back. No hurt cat, no jail time
This isn't a bad idea, then leave the trap out by the plants for a while afterwards. We've trapped cats in our alley before to get TNR'd, and once they've been in the trap they usually avoid it in the future.

You could also trap it and take it back to its owners (if you know them). Say you were trying to catch a fox or raccoon and got their cat instead.
