Screwed FIM all up!

Ok so I tried the FIM technique last week, but I fucked it up.

About half the plants I fimmed pulled through fine. They have 3-4 tops coming out of one node, pretty cool looking and I hope it pays off on the weight.

Its the other half of the plants that everything when wrong with lol. I must have cut the fan leaves in attempting to get the top shoot. I did something wrong because the top fan leaves are cut off after about 1/4 of the leaf.

These plants are growing VERY slowly and the other plants that fimmed correctly are taking right off.

Has anyone else had experience with a fuck up of this level?

I will post some pics once the bud light comes on. Don't want to open veg box and disturb my mommas.

I tried it for the first time and ended up with the same leaves. Mine didnt slow growth tho. Chalk it up as a learning experience and enjoy the bud

They still have 16 days until I throw them into the flower box. Will keep them til new years in veg if they are not tall enough.

I figure if I can fix one fuck up every grow by the end of next year I should be have a perfectly calibrated system of growing lol.

Just experimenting with different methods of trimming to see what I like. If each plant produces 3-4 top colas that are as big as when I top them I will be happy. What I like is fatass top colas, no side budding. I know there is not as much yield but I like the big fatties. The seeds I pop on christmas are going to stay single cola.

Thanks for easing my worries!

If you "miss" fimming, you either top the plant or just cut some leaves in half. Neither will drastically stunt the plant if it even slows growth at all.

The plant with the cut leaves probably seems stunted because the other plants seem to be growing faster due to the multiple new "tops" you created.

Why dont you just top the slow plant?

IME they really dont need time to "recover" at all. You can put them right into flower. It takes several days for the plant to actually begin flowering anyway.

So go ahead and finish the job and fim/top the ones you missed.

16 days is more than enough time to recover.

MYOB covered it well. +++
