This is only my second grow and i've switched to coco with some perlite in it. Here's some pictures of her at 3 weeks so far, very fat little girl. I am wondering though if i want to LST her in a circle there then pull her through the screen, weave her through the screen or just drop the screen down on her and make sure it all grows wide then let them pop through the screen. Have really upped the lighting from my last grow, strain is Power plant. I am adjusting the PH down to 5.8 wich i believe is right in a coco grow. Oh and i have FIM'd her about a week ago any and all advice is welcome here. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hey Scoob. I grow scrog style. Its the best for limited spaces. I would LST a bit and then put it under the screen for about 2wks. Fill the screen about 2/3rds before flipping to 12/12 then continue tying down and filling up the rest of the screen for the first two weeks of flower. After that remove all the vegetation and minor branching under the screen and let everthing else go vertical. youll love it.

Now i FIM'd her to man so maybe that will be enough and LST wont be needed? but the general idea is just fill that girl up right? lay that screen down close to her and just dont let it grow though screen until your close to ready then flip the light cycle right?

I think I want to try this SCROG my next grow. This is my first grow. I just went out and bought some shit, got one clone about a week from cut placed into into a DWC and started reading post, most people say veg 4 weeks or so, some say height. Well.. I went for 3 weeks from rooting of clone and this bitch just took off. I am into my first week of flowering( so going on start of fifth week from when it was cut). I don't know if I will have the room because of light and limitations in my grow tent not having a 3 foot extender package. Can I put a screen down now and start to like bend the branches outward and try and shove the top through? Lasso her? If I buy a cool tube I can squeeze a couple inches. Any suggestions?

Im only Kinda growing hydro man. Those are just hempy buckets. They are pretty much as easy as soil... if not easier really. Pretty much put the screen as close as you can get and still be able to feed/water. pull the branches through the screen and tie them down with twisty ties. When about 2/3 of the screen(or 2/3 of the squares) then turn the lights to flower and continue tieing the plant for the first two weeks of flower. Then... just let it grow and trim the foilage under the screen and thin out the top a little from time to time. Its easy.

I dont want to jack this guys thread but Ill answer your ??. I would finish your current grow out normal. Its best to veg the plant into the screen for a little bit prior to going to flower. It really takes less plants to do a scrog, your just growing bigger plants. you could still screen those though, and would probably reap a little more, but I would just try a scrog on the next round. BTW that pic is a parabolic scrog i a cabinet 14" deep by 24" wide. Three plants pulled a little over 5 ounces. 400w hps. With more room than that think what you could do.

I use 100% perlite for my medium instead of the perlite/vermiculite mix. Works fine.

Ive never grown scrog before but those threads seem to have all the info you need on the topic.
I like the results scrog can achieve but it just seems too much work to me so its not really my thing.
Sorry to revive a dead thread but damn I just had to call out that noob mistake.
