Scrog help for autoflower

I already posted in the autoflower section with no help. These autos are blue dream and they grow to about 42 inches it says can somebody tell me when I put up the scrog netting and also how high I should do it i have read alot about the photo plants you put it about 20 inches but with an auto I would think it is different any help tips and tricks would be amazing. Also with the main cola do you top it or is it preference

I've only topped an auto once and I didn't like the results. I feel I liked the results much better from LST, and it seems like it's not nearly as much stress for a pretty similar result. Having said that, some people top them and do great. Strain, technique, timing, plant vigor, YMMV.

I haven't scrogged an auto but I'm getting ready to. Sweet Seeds Dark Devil Auto. I have the net built already, I'm just going to drop it down on her when she gets about 8 inches tall and bend her underneath as she grows. I'm thinking I'll put her slightly offset from the corner and let her grow into the diamond shape of the square net. We shall see. Maybe this will give you an idea of what you want to do.

That is a good idea then let me ask u with that main branch how do i keep it low and what direction would I bend it wherever there is more open space?I just don't want one branch alot taller then others and I know the main one grows alot bigger then the rest

I replied to your other thread saying to LST, but if you are determined to scrog then my advice is to put your net as low as you can, BUT, you need to be able to get your arm underneath to move the branches to another square. There is no set height as everybody has a different setup.
The lower you put the net, the more the branches have to spread, so more budsites. No branch should be taller than others in a scrog, that is the main point - you get a perfectly level canopy.
Just move your branches to whatever space is next to them. It sounds daunting but it is fairly easy, once you actually give it a go.

Edit if you look at this thread there are a load of us currently growing blue dream autos, myself included. Might give you some tips.

I believe I'm going to lst bend and tie instead I was going over the things you said and it would of been a pain. That link you sent all it has is people that posted to eachother I did not see any info on blue dream auto what am I suppose to do when I click the thread

If you read the introduction you will see a seed company gave away free blue dream auto seeds, on the condition that whoever got them posted grow diaries when they grew them.

Seeing as people such as myself are now on week 10 of growing the blue dream autos, so only a couple of weeks from harvest at most, I thought you might have been able to see how big they grew on average, what things worked well for people i.e LST, what things people did then regretted doing, what problems they had, general things that may have helped your grow.

Rather than just one person describing their grow, there are dozens of people on that thread, all growing exactly the same variety of plant you are asking about. I thought it might have been useful.

Edit - first few pages are people entering and getting their seeds, first blue dream auto seedling pic is actually mine on page 4, that is when the diaries start.
