SCROG question

I little one is only 7 days old, but I know I want to try SCROG with her. I saw this plastic shelf thing in my dentist office, and SROG immediately came to my mind. (you know your addicted to growing when THAT happens) would something like this work?
thanks :-)

Not a bad idea imo maybe someone elae will point out a major flaw that i didny notice lol but there's cheaper and better solutions out there.. But if you already have one sitting in the closet collecting dust like me then go for gold

Last time i went to the dentist I was noticing the lighting they use and was trying to think of a way you could put it in the grow space lol

Plastic is too ridged for scrog, just get some netting that is flexible so you can at least get your hand through to adjust branches.

What is your growing medium and how much room will you have between the top of it and the bottom of the "screen"?

I use that same shelf (for a shelf).
It would work but not as efficient or easy to maintain as something more like the screen above shown by Mike Foster. That is perfect for Scrog.

Not sure about the size of the holes in that whatever it is plastic thing. I like 3" holes and you can build one pretty cheap.
Hey Mick, I definitely need to make one of these for my next grow. How cheap was the PVC? Did you bother glueing the ends and joints or just shove them together?

I really don't remember what the cost was - the corners and t's cost the most - it will depend on the size you need. I bought everything at home depot - pvc, masonry string, and screws. No I didn't glue it - just hammered each joint until it bottomed out - so I can adjust it if needed.
