hi

well learning is fun

Scrog......seems to be the answer i am looking for my next grow
Scrog stands for Screen of green......u basically take a net 4'' 6''hole strech it out and put it up in your grow room and during vegie stage u push it down on the plant there by making them grow tho it all the parts that do not make it up are trimmed off ...............benfits is the leaves and cola's(buds) get more light more engery and are bigger in the end (this would fix the issuse i had on my first grow)

now i need to know what other auto ppl have done.......................... i understand the basics of it......... do it when the plant is flexable not all firmed up have it a half the total size of the plant (ie if the plant goes 100 cm set your screen at 50 cm from the base of the plant)

please correct me ......if u have a rough idea of what week this should be applied at for autos ........if it is totally bad for autos

any tales of wahoo/woe would be helpful/tips......this is to improve the skills of myself and any other person that comes across it

You have a pretty pessimistic name I must say but I don't think scrogging is really the best idea if you're looking for yield rather than saving space. From what ive seen if you let the auto grow unrestricted, maybe some tying down, they tend to do great. That's just me though.
If you don't need to save space let her grow up.

LOL what's the difference between tying an auto down and scrogging it?

sniff sniff
:sad::sad:after 100 veiws nothing

i am starting to think ppl do not like me
You can't truly scrog with autos because the whole premise behind scrogging is to veg them until they fill 80% or so of the screen, but I think you can still use a scrog screen to easily lst them with very little effort. In turn you should get better yield because more intense light is reaching a greater surface area of the plant... Even more so than with casual lsting or supercropping imho...

I'm attempting it now with my auto grow.. I haven't seen too many others even attempt it with autos, but I'm trying it out... You avoid slowing the plant down even a little because you wouldn't be stressing the plant out as you would if you fim'd or supercropped. You do not have to continuously tie multiple strings to branches as you would have to with lst. I see no way whatsoever how this could be bad for autos...

It only cost $25 to builds a 2'x4' screen from scratch, and it was extremely easy. Easier than I thought. I made 4"x4" squares, and I have my screen 20" high with my plants sitting on crates. That way I can water and get under there without having to crawl. My plants should hit the screen in another week or 2...

i made a 3'x3' screen cost me 10 bucks but i had alot of the parts just lyaing around the house ........i set it masonline with a loop method so i can open them up allow the stem tho and then close back make a bigger hole for other ......mistake using the cheap pine 1.15 for 8 foot put pretty does not beat functional (had to tape parts to make sure did not spilt )

and thanks for the info .............my name it is a reflection on me oh it just .......(my name) u have no idea how many times i am walking down a hall and a arm grabs tells me sit down and talk to me while they are taking a bath and these are just lady drinking buddies .........my girl does not even get pissed at me for it

i could always slap a nice ladies ass up for my icon

probably rate the scrog results at a 10 for end results
a 8 for bud size lots of thumb size buds
and i find its harder to work with then lst in a small space and it really sucks you cant move your plants around

I spaced mine at 4 inches and from my research, most people suggested no more than 1 ft above the medium.
