I read your link and it will never happen...I learned to work on a farm when I was young and most kids don't have that opportunity because they live in a city..I always took a sack lunch to school so I never ate a school lunch ever..I am sure that food stamps can buy bread and lunch meat so I don't see the problem with the kids, it must be the parents are to lazy to make their lunch..So they should make the parents push a broom..

Why don't we give all of our children a free breakfast and a free lunch? I don't understand why we don't send the message to ALL of our children that they are equally valued in our society by giving all of them a good start in life no matter what their social standing. Don't you think that children of economically deprived or just bad parents are smart enough to realize that they don't have the same advantages of the children who are lucky enough by birth to have affluent and/or involved parents. Perhaps if we treated all children like they were our own they would grow up to be better citizens and not out doing dope and having babies before they graduate high school.

I'm sure he has extensive first hand knowledge of what it's like to be in a situation where food stamps are the only way to for his family eat. I mean, he's so passionate about the issue, it's almost a given that we should listen to what he says..............right? Fucking idiot.

i like the idea that breakfast and lunch should be provided for all therefore not "segregating" their social standing

My kids school district did away with the program.
In its place, they offered free lunch and breakfast to all students. It's actually cheaper.
