Here's a rundown on the setup:

4 x 8' x 64" Sealed Box partinioned into 4 x 5 flower and 3 x 4 utility.

1000 watt hps in a Fresca Sol water cooled jacket, hung vertically.

100 gal. rez with homebuilt chiller.

Water Cooled CO2 Burner

Air conditioner

Dehumidifier

Digigro grow room controller. (currently being modified for 220)

Running Blueberry, 4 7 gal pots and 6 1 gal pots.

Running GH FNB hand watered.

7 gal pots have vegged for 50 days, flipped to 12/12 yesterday

I LOVE the chiller! +REP

How well does it cool? Can you tell us a little more about it?

I'm sticking around to see how those monsters produce....

Good luck with your grow!

That 5hit,

This is my second go in many years. Did hydro under HID in the late 70s and early 80s.
My first was in the same basic cab but it was only 40" tall. Same basic setup with lamp overhead. I got about 1lb. Did 4 Blueberry and 4 of something called Black Pearl in soil.

Ill try not to crop out too much of the box next time. Just didn't want to show too much of my property.

The CO2 burner is the white rectangular box hanging on the wall to the left. It is a propane tankless hotwater heater made for boats and rv. $200 ebay

Abnjm, The Chiller was made out of a 5200 btu window ac from wal mart. It's actually the same model cooling the box. Total cost: $98.00. I simply opened the unit up and bent the heat exchanger out and down until i could get it in the 100 gal rez, also under 100.00. It can pull the rez from 110 f to 65 in a few hours and easily handle 3x this load. There's just so much surface area on the heatexchanger the compressor rarely runs and the control is set on 3 (1-10 scale) with the water at 65. May not need it this winter.

Xogen, The fresca sol basic setup can be found online for about 225.00, retails for 299/ I paid 300 shipped with the batwing which is about 35.00 extra. I paid just as much for a cool tube, 8" fan setup 2 months before.

I think they are getting a bit bleached out as one side is much darker green than the other. The false wall is movable so I can concentrate the lumens.

My current plan is to try a bare bulb 600 or 2 in there. the 1k is too much on the 4' depth and believe it or not, I think I need to generate a little more heat in there this winter

Thanks for stopping by. I'll do my best to answer all questions and keep updates.

That really is a super nice setp! :weed:

If I were to replicate the only thing I would change is putting the girls on the second level of ply wood, my knees..

I am interested in watching how the tops handle the low ceiling compared to the light coming from the side.

Kudos man, nice grow. please keep us updated.

thats cool if its makes you feel safer crop as much as you want i gat the basic idea of the wall

tankless hotwater heater is a great idea that sound like the one this guy on here made with his home hotwater heater
click on pic to inlarge

i read some where that the bleaching comes from the dubble glass tube acking like a magnifying glass or slightly changing the specturm of the light but if the bud like it who the hell cares right

That's a great idea!
Yes my feeling is that the glass creates some hotspots. I do keep things real close though. I raised the lamp about 3" last night, should help.

with my water at 65 I can grab the glass and it's very cool to the touch but the radiant heat still penetrates.

I did stop by the vert section and will be a regular!

Yes and no and yes it does matter you could buy a cheap CO detecter that will alert you when the CO reaches danger levels
the amount of CO is much less then the amout of CO2
after the fire is added much of the CO is converted in to CO2
BURNING HYDROCARBON FUELS:
This has been the most common method of CO2 enrichment for many years. A number of commercial growers and greenhouses use it in their larger structures. The most common fuels are propane, butane, alcohol and natural gas. Any of these fuels that burn with a blue, white or colorless flame will produce carbon dioxide, which is beneficial. If a red, orange or yellow flame is present, carbon monoxide is being generated due to incomplete combustion. Carbon monoxide is deadly to both plants and people in any but the smallest quantities. Fuels containing sulfur or sulfur compounds should not be used, as they produce by-products which are harmful.
Most commercial CO2 generators that burn these fuels are too large for small greenhouse or indoor grow room applications. Some small ones are avai fable or a Coleman lantern, bunsen burner or small gas stove can be used. All of these CO2 generators produce heat as a by-product of CO2 generation, which is rarely needed in a controlled environment grow room but may prove beneficial in winter growing and cool area greenhouses.
The rate of CO2 production is controlled by the rate at which fuel is being burned. In a gas burning CO2 generator using propane, butane or natural gas, one pound of fuel produces approximately 3 pounds of carbon dioxide gas and about 1.5 pounds of water vapor. Approximately 22,000 BTUs of heat is also added. These figures can vary if other fuels are used.
To relate this to our standard example in an 8' X 8' X 8' growing area, if you used ethyl or methyl alcohol in a gas lamp or burner at the rate of 1.3 oz. per day, we would enhance the atmospheric concentration of CO2 to 1300 PPM if the room was completely sealed.
An enrichment standard of 1300 PPM was chosen as it is assumed that 1500 PPM is ideal, and that the plants will deplete the available CO2 supply by 100 PPM per hour. Remember, the normal atmosphere contains 300 PPM of CO2. A 100% air exchange (leakage) every two hours is assumed to be the average air exchange rate in most grow rooms and tight greenhouses. If many cracks and leaks are present, this exchange rate will increase significantly, but added CO2 (above 300 PPM) will also be lost. If a vent fan is in use, disregard CO2 enrichment, as it will be blown out as fast as it is generated.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

We've had a cold snap here and my lights on temp has gone down as low as 65 should be alright though.

That's one of my favorites as well, here's a couple of more from last night. I'm standing in the utility side with the box closed on the first one.
