second grow: closet cfl/hps

okay i know i said it would be a week till i posted but its only been three days under the double lights (600 daylight watts and 200 cool watts for 800 watts total) and they definitely got sum growth hellz ya (except for the runt his growth is just completely stunted)

pics 1,2,and 3 are bag seed1
pics 4 and 5 are grape ape1
pics 6 and 7 are bag seed2
pics 8 and 9 are grape ape2 (runt)

yah i took off like half of its root mass when transplanting and stunted it lol:neutral:

thats the only thing i can think of, but it is still growing, its just playing catch up


got a digital humidity/temperature gauge today the humidity is at around 40 and the temp is a nice 84:blsmoke:

all in all im very pleased so far gonna let em get a lil bigger and top em... maybe fim one

good shit man,growing very nice,my babies r showing some real growth and i love it!just bought some new better soil for when i transplant for flowering,or just incase they start showing PH burn since i have no meter,and i bought new hooks for my lights and a socket ligh to run one more liight during flowering,goingt ot be sweet,but ur plants r beautiful and healthy looking,Gardening power!

gotta go to the store soon but its me mums birthday today and i have to go to her party so tomorrow probly... oh wait i work

hey man, one question. is that 86 degrees a constant? because my grow box goes up to that temp without the lights. but your growth is awesome which is why i had to ask.

the highest ive seen it was 90 and the lowest ive seen it was 83 but most of the time its at like 85 86 87 thats with the lights on anyways

so yah i guess you could say its constant...

it drops to like 79 with it dark

thanks sayin i have awesome growth they are beasting it

you get a sample in the mail too cuz youve been around since the start as well

well i just put the kiddies to bed... im so happy with this grow so far, they look a little over watered but what are you gonna do? i added more emergency blanket and ill probably put the hps up over em tonight when they go back to daylight of course ill be using the cfls to help supplement them because its only 250 but im interested/concerned for how the temperature is gonna be affected by the hps

dont know many other ways to get the temperature down except to add more fans... meh this is all digression i can address those concerns as i encounter them.

other than that heres your pics the two on the left are the fimmed and the two on the right are unaltered... the runt is finally starting to get somewhat big :mrgreen:

okay like i said i was going to do, i went ahead and added the hps and have a total of 850 watts in the closet equaling i have no clue how many lumens, well see how well this does up until flower when ill switch all the cfls to cool white and just a couple daylights

i went them to start getting a little more height so im keeping the lights not as low to the plants as before see if they start stretching to reach it or not

considering lsting the other bagseed and letting the runt go untouched

i dunno yet i will consider it over this bong right meh

update time... as i expected the hps definitely brought temps up so i got another fan in there and boom problem solved

if you guys live near a kmart and your looking for a powerful small fan to help circulate get the blizzard jr


you can wal mount it cuz it comes with pre punched holes in the base and its REALLY powerful for how small it is, the little engine in there is bigger than the one the huge oscillating fan in my living room has. and it was like 11 bucks

anyways the plants are doing good, just started giving them some nutes very low doses untill i see how they react

grape ape #1 is the second 2
bagseed #1 is 5 and 6
grape ape #2 is 7 and 8

okay i put two more totes in there to help get the plants closer to the hps... and not the cfls are right at level with the plants too, but one of my y adapters malfunctioned so i have to get another one so i cut it down for now...

but its looking better in there now
