Second Grow need to adjust PH levels.

What’s going on everyone? I’m on my second organic grow. Can someone tell me how to lower my PH? Honestly I never check the PH of my last grow. Not 1 time. I smoked the harvest of my last grow and I was faded for like 6 hours. I’ve been reading, watching videos, asking questions and I’m trying to educate myself. Now I’m obsessed with the damn PH levels of my plants. I can’t get the levels below 7. They stay at 7 no matter what. I’m not trying to drop them a shit ton. I just want to drop them to like 6.5 maybe. Would that even make a difference?

1 meter is a Lowes $10 special that reads moister and light and PH and the other is a Walmart special that cost about 20 bucks from Ferris

If you want something cheap, they do sell test strips for the purpose but they're a bit more trouble and prone to human error. If you can swing it, I'd go with something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Bluelab-PENSOILPH-Soil-Tester-Pen/dp/B00CJIDFAS

It's still a bit of hassle since you have to calibrate and ensure the probe is always wet with storage solution, but it's your best bet to get something close to an accurate reading. Either that or test strips. @P10p said it right. What you're using now is likely going to give you meaningless measurements and could cause you correct a condition that doesn't exist, or even worse - correct in the wrong direction.

If you're plants are doing fine, it is because the microbial activity beneath the surface keeping your PH at the right level for your palnt. Don't mess with it if it's not broke. You said organic so it's my assumption there is a network of things working for you underneath the surface. Keep ur PH consistent going in.

I believe plant's do fine with a stable PH throughout it's cycle however, It could potentially "eat more" of the nutrition during flower. Elevating the PH will also elevate the ability to uptake nutrients. This is why some people will add dolomite lime to their soil as an amendment.
