Hi there Silver,
I'm a noob (well I did grow once but it had a horrible accident & died) and I've been admiring your threads for the past hour and I have one question.
I've been reading about growing for a few months, I basically want to gain as much knowledge as I can before I actually start growing myself. Now my question, could you give me more info on how you're germinating those bag seeds? I've read many threads and have never seen seeds germinated in those soda bottles, but it looks like a good setup for germination.

I didn't germ the sees in the soda bottles, just planted them in the bottle after they had germ'd. I germinated them in a very damp paper towels in a dark space.

When planting your germinated seeds you gotta be real careful not to damage the main root. I've grown a couple times and I use the wet paper towel method to germ my seeds and it's worked every time for me.

So they've done a bit of growing since I last posted lol, only a little worried that they'll be too tall once flowering starts lol. Sorry about the shitty cell phone pics. They defiantly should have gone into flower by now but I just have had no time to finish the flowering side. I should have it finished by the 10th. Not going to bore you guys with anymore words lol. That's a five gallon water jug BTW.

So I think that when I put these into the flowering side I am going to top them about 4-6 nodes down the main stem and scrog them. I found some 40w induction lamps for a good price, I might pick up 2 or 3 of them in 2700K. I've done all the reading I can find on growing with induction lamps and it seems to be a bit controversial still (like LED was in its first stages) but I'm up for experimenting. Let me know what you guys think about this idea, as always questions comments are welsome! Stay high!

those plants are looking great man, there gonna be huge once they do start flowering. im glad i use cfl's. its so easy, LoL.

So I have finished the flowering side of my cab (took long enough lol). Also the girls have been transplanted into 3gal bags and were topped this morning. I set the timer to turn on at 5pm and off at 5am, so flowering has started! Right now they are under 4 42w 2700K and 2 45w 6500K lights, this will be the setup until I get my new light. Not sure how the ScrOG is going to turn out with the plants being so tall but well see, not really worried about it.

With the 4 45w bulbs in the small Veg cab I was having a hard time keeping the temps above 60°F lol, sometimes I would have to keep the exhaust fan off. Haven't had the plants in the Flower cab long enough to get an idea of what temps are like, but with that 7" exhaust fan I made I think the temps will probably be about the same. The cab is in my garage and its winter time so it will be a different story when summer hits. I will be ordering a ReVolt 400w dimmable HPS/MH setup on the 25th if everything goes well. I suspect I will be able to run the HPS at the full 400w during the winter but will most likely have to run it at 50%/75% (200w/300w) power during the summer. Thanks for stopping by CD!

Man I love the cab setup bro, Im actually looking into getting a smaller cab just for vegging so I can do a harvest every 2 months then I will be set, I will keep my main cab for flowering since I put soooo much work into this thing and getting it to where I can control temps regardless of what going on outside. But man I will be deffinently watching. G/L
