Hi guys. Totally new to the growing game. Got myself 2 clones and reported them, when the time was right, I to 2 10 gallon smart pots. I've used up all of my Fox Farm Grow Big and I am starting to some flowering. Very little. Even bending the very top because of it. Had to tie some hemp to rod to prop it back up. Question: How often should I use the Fox Farm Big Bloom Liquid Plant Food? When using the Grow Big, I would feed it one day, water it the next. Also, I potted these clones pretty late in the season, I'd say around mid May. So I have that issue as well. Any advice, help, or comments would greatly help. Thank you very much

Pics really help. I fert, let the plants dry out, then water, let them dry out, then fert, continue....

They look nice. Good green color, nice big fabric pots.
So when you were using the Grow Big you used it every other watering; that's how they recommend it.

GENERAL FEEDING:
  • 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water every other watering.
HEAVY FEEDING:
  • 4 teaspoons (20 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water every other watering.
You said feed one day water the next. You're not putting fluids on every day are you? If so you'll waterlog them. I put fluids on to the point of saturation (the bag is completely wet out) then I put 10 to 20 % of the pots volume through it again. Especially with liquid nutes; you need to wash the wastes out of the rootzone. In organics you can get away with less fluids because the wastes get processed by soil bacteria/fungi.

The big bloom:

GENERAL FEEDING:
  • 4 tablespoons (60 mL) per gallon (4L) of water every other watering.
HEAVY FEEDING:
  • 1/2 cup (120mL) per gallon (4L) of water once per week.
So do the same thing with this one. Add it every other time you put fluids on them and run enough through to wash their rootzone.
You're outside; generally where in the world are you?

Just went through the Runtz plant and found it was infested with aphids. Did the whole Neem oil dilution but they just swarmed it. Had to prune it back pretty far. But yes...Grow Big every other day. So one day feed, next day just water, then repeat with Big Bloom. Do you have any recommendations for keeping pests away such as aphids or spider mites? Thank you for the feedback. It is greatly appreciated

Not one day feed the next day water. Feed and run some through to wash them, then let them dry out until the pot gets light to the touch, THEN water and wash them a bit. A little bit of fluids every day will waterlog them and starve the roots for oxygen. Mix your ferts into the same container of water and use them together, NOT one at a time.
I had aphids on my outside plants last year and all I used was aerosol pyrethrin. It worked very well on huge plants so you should get great results with it on plants where you can spray every surface.
