Second time ever in flower, how does she look?

First time post, hello RIU!

This is the second time getting a female to flower (had a very bad male streak :( ) and the first didn't go so hot. I feel like I made some improvements but would love to hear some feedback

Girl is some bagseed so strain is not known (trying to learn on free seeds before buying some better genetics). If I'm being honest I can't tell the exact amount of soil but I would say 7 gallons. She is being fed 9-16-16 right now (little high in the N I know, may grab a different flowering nute). She is in 12/12 under a blurple about 14 inches about the canopy. She is in about her second week of flower, I don't tend to keep track as I am trying to let the plant tell me when she is ready or what she needs.

Thank you for taking a look, happy growing!20210811_172615.jpg20210811_172529.jpg20210811_172444.jpg20210811_172552.jpg

Welcome to RIU

Congratulations on a girl!

Are you measuring ppm/ec? I see a little clawing (high N maybe) on some of the middle fan leaves. New growth doesn't show that. Nice color.

If you can add a more powerful light, do so asap.
Unfortunately lights up in Canada are expensive and the budget is tight. I hope to get an upgrade soon but will also need a bigger tent as this one would be too small for the more cost effective option of HID (I don't pay for my electric based on usage, so I don't need to worry about efficieny) as I fear heat would be an issue.

I would love to, an ec pen is on my list, budget is just a bit tight for growing at the moment so just trying to go light, I usually go about 1/2 recommended but I also think the notes I have are just hot in N, beyond what is necessary so next time I will probably get more specialized nutrients meant more for cannabis and not some promix nutes from Walmart haha.

My first time in flower I also chopped her way too early so am going to be extremely patient with her this time. I am in no rush or need to chop her so am just going to enjoy her while she is still here, and chop once she says she is ready. And no, I am not going to post an "Is she ready yet?" Post lol.

1/2 recommended dose is usually good enough. You don't need 15 bottles of specialty stuff with fancy names to get good outcomes.

On my outdoor, I'm using GH Maxigro and Maxibloom dry nutrients, supplemented by Easy Weed soluble kelp, some no-name soluble humic/fulvic, RAW SiO2, and CalMag+. On my indoor I'm using the same supplements with GH Flora trio for base. I got everything but the humic/fulvic for good discounts on growgreenmi.com. Check the dank deals on their site for good discounts.

There are members on here that post great results with Jack's or Masterblend dry nutes, which work out to be lower cost per feeding than the nutes I use. I haven't tried them. I just might try them when my current nute supply runs out, but that'll be at least 9 to 12 months.

Really appreciate you giving me those suggestions, I will need to look into them, I have always heard you can't go wrong with the time tested GH trio! My local grow shop usually has sales on the three pack so I may have to take the plunge if i catch one.

Bending top over would give the lower growth time to catch up, looks decent for the light your using

Agreed, I did try to look into it but those 2 tops are stiff as a board and didn't want to muck around too much right before or during flower, but will definitely be LST'ing in veg next grow to also save some vertical space as she stretched a bit more in her first 2 weeks of flower than anticipated.
