Sorry man but that is backwards thinking. If somthing is under negative pressure it will suck air through the smallest hole not seal it all , thus exhausting smelly air.....

BCcannabis , you're giving bad info. It's better to suck the air and not push the air.

Filter, hood, fan and out is the optimal way to do it. Make sure your air cooled hood has no air leaks. I tape the edge of the glass around mine to ensure it's a sealed unit.

Yes I do want you to suck the air through the filter then push the air through the hood and out. This is the best method for odor removal.
Not sure why you want to call things 'Dumb' What is your resoning for not doing it this way? Why is your way not 'dumb'?

Do you understand the difference between negative and positive pressure?

Well I'm going to be joining this Secret Jardin club, here's what I plan to put in it...

Lumatek 1000 watt digital
1000 watt HPS plantmax
1000 watt MH plantmax
Adjust A Wing Reflector Medium
One 6" vortex fan with the 6" ducts, not sure if one fan will be anough, although my basement that this tent will be in is usually 12 degrees celsius, pretty cold..

This will be my first grow ever, and I am pretty confident I will do pretty good. Anyone have any grow journals with the Jardin 4x4 tent with a 1000watt light combo?

I agree, Take a little extra time to make sure everything is sealed because you want the fan nearest to the exaust, The negative pressure is much more efficient at keeping things cool.

Using Dr120 (4x4) and dr240 (8x8) and love them both. Mounted a cheap like 15$ walmart fan to the top bars with zip ties the 18-20 inch fan works great for the 4x4. I use my 4x4 for vegging tho and have a 4lightx4foot t5 fixture with 2 Kessil h150 blue LEDS next to it and the plant love it. My 2x2 flood tray and res, 45 site powercloner and 4 power growers all fit in the 4x4 nicely. The Jardin has two vents about 2/3's up the side of tent on opposite sides. These are for hood cooling. You run a duct from left side of tent to hood, then run duct from right side of hood to an inline fan, and from the fan to the other vent outlet in the side of the tent. This keeps the light cooler, because fresh air is being drawn from outter room, through the hood and back out again, without ever mixing with the tent's air. This will cool the light and the tent by several degrees. Your strongest fan should be ducted to exhaust out of top of Jardin. The intake should be attached to your carbon scrubber. This way, all air that has odor atoms has to pass through the scrubber and can then be ducted outside or into an attic. Two passive vents at ground level should be left open and light proofed.

You can pull the tent air through the scrubber, then the hood and then through fan and into exhaust, but consider this; you'll be using hot grow room air to attempt to cool the bulb, and you are asking the fan to pull through a filter and a hood with some curved duct. That is alot of restriction. I think your tent will run hotter that way.
