Okay the ac is set at 78 I have a 105 cfm fan blowing air from the light into the ceiling I keep the door to the the dark room open and have an oscillating fan circulating air in and blowing air out.

Attached to the ac ducting I have another (possible) 105 cfm fan to blow the air in.

I have 1 extra (possible) 105 cfm fan I was wondering if I attached it to the ducting blowing into the ceiling if that would help or not really. Any other help would be apreacieated.

Sorry but the way you have that setup, and having the door always open is where your problem is. I don't have an AC unit hooked up to my tent, I just have a 170 CFM fan pulling the air out, and 2 flaps on the bottom open for passive intake.

I also have 1 oscillating fan inside to help circulate the air inside the tent.

My tent hardly ever goes above 80 with the lights on.

With your tent open all the time, your temps won't go down because your cooling the whole room instead of the just the tent.

That could be true, personally I don't intend to test it, my set up is dialed in to my liking. I was just saying that a carbon filter will do it's job in that set up, which is filter the bud smell.
The air should be pulled through the carbon filter thats why its got a white prefilter over the outside..pull air through it...it will still work tho but not as good and not for as long ...

I'll try with the door closed when I get home. I tried this yesterday and my DR was cooler with the door open. But I'll try again. I could just be doing it wrong lol. Now would hooking that extra fan up to the exaust help or not really? Just wondering if it will actually add to the suction since there is a fan already attached.

Your logic is sound and I hope it works! Thanks and + rep

I dont have a Jardin tent, but i have a similar one off of ebay, and its equal to your dr100. But I figure since this seems to be the first tent club area i was hoping i could join and get some help with the tent. Looking at the Site provided on page 1 (jardin site) I notice its recommended that i get a 400watt light assembly. Seeing ive only grown 3 plants before (this is my second grow) I was just looking to see if someone could just send a note/sketch on a walkthrough with how the whole lineup works for assembly of the lights-fans-filter. It seems you could set them up multiple way, but really only one effective/correct way. Reading so much on the site just sent me into confusion cause not everyone uses a tent.

Obviously i see i would need an aircooled light (maybe not?), But what and where do i look for the cheapest ways to go (i searched the deals thread). Saying i have a budget of $250, Would i be able to get the inline fan, light assembly and filter? There are just so many options i dont wanna make a noob move, and reading so much on here can send one into confusion cause again not everyone is in a tent.

Side notes- i live in apt, i would grow upto 4 plants tops, usually one suits me. I like to stick with a strain and kind of master it if u get me. I enjoy the Super lemon haze strain im on my 4th one of its kind now so i have a hang of it. Use lots of CFL's couple t5s standing up to get the sides, and 1 70 watt HPS. But i wanna get serious and end the noob show and make it pro. Any tips or help is loveded. Thanks

i prefer hydro growing so far-- EDIT

If your trying to get a hood/ballast/lamp/fan/filter all for 250 you might have a bit of a rough time. Check craigslist and ebay. I've seen some amazing deals between those two sites but there is more footwork involved going to the sites everyday to search for new deals.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do look for deals and around about 5 hours a day lol. I guess i really just need some details on what im looking for in quality. Magnetic vs digital and such? What makes a good ballast good, a good hood etc. I dont feel i need a fan that moves 400cfm seeing that could clear out half my apt lol. and they are like 100 bucks. But i guess would any hood really work fine in the case of tent growing? I just really despise buying cheap hardware and such. I like to save for the best if i need too, but within reasonable prices in this case.

im going to buy a DR80 or DR120. Would a 1000W light work or is it too big for those tents? Plannin on 6" cooltube setup

I used a DR80 with a 400w for my first grow. My new setup is a dr120 with a 1000w 6" blockbuster, 8x39 filter, elicent and vortex 6" fans. One fan for the 1000w and one for the tent/filter. Not sure on which fan to use for which. The elicent is 309cfm+ and the vortex is 450cfm. I think with a good a/c or cool climate it will work. I have everything but can't start setting it up for a little awhile. Even tho I haven't set it up yet, I will tell you that if you can fit the 120 go for it, no matter the light wattage.

K with the door open temps are 86- 88. When I close the door temps go to 92+ this is after I added a third fan for exaust. Any ideas or do I just fail?

Edit: my room is over all to hot. The air being sucked in is 86. I bought a 20 inch box fan and it dropped the room temp to 84 so the temp in my dark room is 84 after adding all these fans.

I love the dark room!! I hate the temp in my house.

Hm.. I'm trying to figure out the correct configuration for using two 4" inline fans in the DR 120. My setup is for 4 pants, using 400w MH/HPS, and carbon filter.

Can anyone help me figure out how to configure the exhaust/filtering/light venting with two inline fans (was thinking one fan wouldn't be enough to bring temps down and keep good air flowing through the ten)
