Below is a message I sent to secret jardin, it's quite self explanatory is anyone else having problems with them?
I was a proud owner of a DR90 secret jardin tent. Which is an awesome piece of equipment for the size. I decided to upgrade to a DR150 tent. Having been so pleased with my first purchase.
As a lot of my colleagues on different forums have nothing but the highest regards for your products until last Saturday 17th August.
I became the disheartened and disappointed owner of a DR150. Upon trying to assemble my new purchase it became very apparent that whomever had made this in china is thinking 'lets play a practical joke on the people from the UK',
None of the right equipment was present as it was more like a broken jigsaw puzzle then a tent. I then got in touch with the company who stock your equipment, hydrohobby Coventry UK, and had to take the half day off work to return the DR150 tent.
Which cost me £70 in wages, plus £10 petrol.
We then went through the rigmarole of making sure that I was not mistaken in saying the tent was faulty as the staff came to the same conclusion as me. We then opened up 3 more tents to make up one good tent! I also retained the original cover.
Feeling delighted and happy with the customer service I received I thought let bygones be bygones. I then rushed home to assemble my new tent. To my amazement it was obvious that the same practical joker had decided to give me a tent that looked like a colander. Light was leaking through everywhere, so I'd just like to know do you send equipment to a country full of incompetent fools who wreck your product and good name? I draw this conclusion because I sent the outer cover back to hydrohobby who kindly sent me another faulty cover for my dr150 tent.
Which is as useless as the first one. I now have to take another half day off work and return the whole product and get my money back taking into account that it's cost me £160 to return your faulty item.
Which has not best pleased me as you can imagine.
What do you propose to do about it? Will you reimburse me the money or recommend one of your competitors tents?
Hopefully they don't use the same people you use to manufacture your colanders and sieves.
Kind regards,
