I am doing the same sort of grow... except from clones... i put around 130 aurora indica and kali mist clones and they are now about 3 feet... originially planned on doing about 30 and giving the big bloom and grow big the hole time... now it has turned in to much bigger than i planned and i am scared to go back for any maintanence at all.. I just want to go back in october when its ready.... any opinions??? Do you think they will make it through the summer if I dont go back? any sugguestions if for me if i absolutely have to go back? They are all behind an abandoned house and get near full sun so i could see them drying out fast.

Awesome, I agree. I see places in this area that exists between the farmland and

the beach cities on the coast. Think a suburbia where they still have look out for

horse signs hanging. That bend in the road where there is a ditch always gets me.

Another thing that casught my eye are wooden walled greenhouses with the roof at

at an angle. They sell plans for these on line for 215 patients in Ca. I think one on

my balcony would be fun. Cool to yu, subscribed, I am an indoor grower thinking to

learn more about the girls form yu outdoor folks.

if you go to lowes or home depot they sell a deer and rodent repellent
its made mostly of garlic and some other things that they just cant stand the smell or taste of, its completely harmless to your plants, just soak them down pretty good when you have a little dry spell so rain doesnt wash it away
but its worked for me so far, i used to have a bad deer and rabbit problem and now they leave it alone, they're growing great, actually had a deer do a perfect topping job, lol.
little expensive though, 10-20 a bottle here in NC.
hope that can help

peace

I put up a fishing line fence to keep deer out then I realized how bad my dog was shedding so I shaved her and put her fur all around my garden and no problems yet :eyesmoke:

Well, I've been putting off the update long enough because I've been waiting to get them in the ground.

My first 5 spots were nixed due to deer traffic, two of which were fenced in. Yeah, I know there's a deer recipe on this thread, and I have in fact mixed up a potent blend and am trusting in it.

Friday night, a seemingly perfect night in for a plant in a secluded and fenced private and neglected property with few visible sight lines. Said fact confirmed by Google Earth, and combined with surveillance photos of the current site.

All was set til I reached the field to discover waist high growth that would swallow the smallish pitchfork I brought, scrapping the mission and having to abandon the trays in a field with "THE deer spray, and a hope all will work out the next day. Moments later jumping back over the fence the Bear Grylls style barbed wire defeating ladder slipped and broke causing me to fall 4 feet onto the top of a post of an 8' chain link fence.

Laying on the ground after falling 8' backwards in wet grass and mud with what I thought was a broken sternum. Whew, I'm ok, but sore. :) Went 1 for 3 with an rbi in Sunday's game, and had a web gem.

The plant situation is still unresolved, and they have been unattended since Friday night. Tonight severe thunderstorms (AGAIN, STILL) rained out efforts to reach them and plant them. All is set, and we await some good luck by the early morning light!

Here are some pics of the long overdue plants. They were stressed so they would be tough, so they should be ok, they certainly didn't dry out.

yeah, just bagseed. I won't go spending a ton of money on seeds unless I have complete control over their survival. I'm a firm believer that the way it's grow makes as much difference as what is grown.

All the plants are finally in the ground and ready to take off in the summer sun!

It's later than it should be, but with ample feeding and no deer, it was worth the wait for the quality of the spot. It's going to get full all day sun.

Got a few pics of the little cutout where there are about 80-90 plants spaced closer than optimum spacing, but by staggering them in an X design, it is possible to plant 1' apart and use a lot less space than a standard grid, and when clearing waist high thistle plants and grass, you try and save digging, and be less visible.

Most are between 9 and 12" apart depending on size, and I intend on growing them across the ground, and range about that same height. Don't forget there will be an anticipated male count of 25-30 so it will thin out nicely as they grow. All plants are topped once, and are being fed an off the shelf Miracle Grow bloom Buster (dont have the exact numbers) water soluble formula.

When I aero grow, I start to flower at about that height and space it about the same and have no problems with a screen system and plants around 4 feet tall.

We'll see how final stage plays out now and watch them go. I hate them to be out of my watchful eye, but I'm confident as ever in this spot. Crossing my fingers !

Hell fire I thought this was going to be a stealth urban grow not a balls-out 100 plant, wide-open field.

+rep for balls...I live in a little po-dunk ass rural town and the flying pigs would have that picked out in a week. Good luck man.

hell ya, u got some balls man, those things a re gonna get big, like 6-8ft big, and hopefully you scoped out the area before u planted, cuz choppers will pick that up as soon as they see you tilled up some dirt just randomly in the open. Me, i would have just hungout there for about a week just to see if anything goes over the field or anyone walks by it. i mean...think about it, you thought about that spot...someone else may have too

You've got all your beans in one basket; i'm hopin you can beat the odds! One thing, i would take all the duff you have lyin around and cover up that freshly turned earth, make it look as natural as you can. Forgot to quote, but earlier poster is so right. From the air that will catch the eye like a neon sign!! Do they even have neon signs anymore? Fuck if I know!! Good luck on your grow Jonny!!:peace:

with all this mentioning of choppers, I started thinking about the state of the economy and wonder if there's even enough funding to do flyovers this year. I guess it depends on which state you're in, but I live in Cal and we're dead broke so I wonder if they will be a lot less likely this season. just throwing that out there.
but this is a sick grow man! definitely watching this one :weed:
