Just go and buy a video camera system. Most of the new ones can see in the dark and most of them can hook up to your computer or run them through your modem to your phone. If your in the states check at costco for some cheapish ones. Theyre a real bitch to get running though.

Suggest you search google. There are so many systems on the market these days. So many it's not funny.

Harbor Freight has a 4 camera complete system with 2500 hrs HD for $250 (there are Coupons for this all over the place for 20% off).
It doesnt have sensors or auto pic, but it has an app for your cell phone to real time view and you plug it into a motion detector controlled outlet so it will only record/live feed when there is movement detected. It works.

Yes the sound of jacking a shell with a pump will leave a big pile of poo on your floor :).
Ya the problem with the sound of the 12 gauge pump cocking one into the chamber is that on saturday night when your drunk as fuck at a party, and some rodent is kicking in your door, your fucked. Thats why you guys all need cameras up in your grow that record on motion sensors and in the dark. That way the door kicker will at least get a chance to hear the 12 gauge load up.

I use Arlo camera system.

Completely wireless and will alert my phone whenever there is movement and record.

The app is kinda glitchy at times but it works pretty good for a security system without having a 3rd party monitor it.

I use the Icontrol Networks Piper NV... it has quite a few add ones as well.. https://getpiper.com/howitworks/

Here's an overview of all the things this minimal-footprint-device can do. It has a camera, a siren, a microphone, a speaker and a Z-Wave hub, as well as motion, sound, temperature, humidity and light sensors. The accompanying Piper Android and iOS apps allow you to arm and disarm the system, set custom alerts, watch live footage on a single or four-panel screen, view the free saved clips triggered by your own settings preferences, check out graphs showing all of the changes the sensors detect over time, add Z-Wave devices like smart plugs, sensors, locks, thermostats and more.

BUT... The 12guage is what you use when you get that alarm... and then feed whats left to the dogs...

I like motion sensors down my drive. It gives me a few mins warning someone is coming.
I'll never forget the look on a guys face who was trying to boost one of my cars years back.

Sure I could have pulled an assault rifle on him. But a shotgun is just so much more terrifying :)
