Ok im going to be running 4, 1000k's HPS for 12 hours each day for one month

and 1, 1000k MH 18 hours a day for one month

power rate is

4.46 cents a kw
and 5.46 cents after 1000 kw's

figure this out enjoy

Total watts (4) 1,000 watt HPS 12/12 for 30 days = 1,440,00 watts or 1440 KW
1000kw x .05 = $50.00
440kw x .06 = $26.40
=$76.40 for 30 days on 12/12 (close enough)

Because most people pay a lot more for their electricity. Some places in the world that could cost a real arm and a leg. 3-4 times as much.

Very true, what your paying for Juice is really cheap.
we pay $0.09 KW and I heard the national average to be $0.11 KW

You also still have to add in your 1000W MH for 18 hrs at that higher rate... so add another $29.48 ;-)

Total watts (4) 1,000 watt HPS 12/12 for 30 days + (1) 1000 watt MH 18/6 for 30 days= 1,980,00 watts or 1980 KW
1000kw x .05 = $50.00
980kw x .06 = $58.80
=$108.80 for 30 days for both lights

4 x 1000W x 12 hrs = 48,000 W hrs or 48 kWhs per day * 30 days = 1,440 kWh per month

1 x 1000W x 18 hrs = 18,000 W hrs or 18 kWhs per day * 30 days = 540 kwh per month

Total kWhs per month = 1,980 kWhs

1000 @ $.0446 = $44.60
980 @ $.0546 = $53.51

for a grand total of $98.11 per month

thats really good ill just turn my water heater off when i am not using it and turn all lights tv ect off when not being use advrage bill is 300 now where i live i just moved in so i showed be more then ok

Well I decided to figure it out even though someone already had just for the fun of it ^.^

KWHs per day subtotal= 4 lamps * 1kw each * 12 hours a day = 48 KWHs
KWHs per day subtotal= 1 mh lamp * 1kw *18 hours day = 18 KWHs

66 KWH's per day

66 KWH per day * 30 days = 1980 KWH per month

First 1000 hours = .0446 * 1000 KWH = $44.60

Next 980 hours = .0546 * 980 KWH = $53.51

Total Cost for One Month = $98.11

I believe the diff is only because Top rounded the $/kwh up to an easier number to calculate with...

BTW, Justin, in what general area do you live... I'm just curious (and jealous) b/c your rates are so low. :weed:

Central Florida. yes they are very low because i was living in west florida and they were 15 cents a kw it was crazy the amount the bill was just running only 1 light and ac unit
