Seed Distribution Idea

I'm like the idea of a forum setup to share seeds, we could even have it here on riu... Just have to start a thread or ask the mods to add a category for seed trading.

I would think one would post what genetics they are looking for and whom ever has seed to share would contact them via PM. From there I think the person who is wanting the seed could mail a self addressed stamped envelope to the person with the seed. That way if you want the seed you just have to pay double postage...

Any other ideas?

That kills the whole stealthness of it. The person sending seeds doesn't want to have to worry about you knowing where they live. I think it's safe to say most of us can spare two quarters on postage for a fellow riu'r. I know the economy sucks and all but c'mon, if you spend 5.00 all year hooking 10 riu'rs up, isn't it worth it?

No matter which way this shakes out someone is giving up the anonymity...

Here in Canada seeds are a very gray area. I highly doubt the RCMP are going to take your seeds, plant them, and wait to see if they are viable to charge you. All they will do is confiscate them...

I think if we could get an in province/state group of seed sharing would make things a lot easier and safer as no boarders would be crossed and mail would stay within the local mail sorting system.
