seed from a male/female or a hermie?

hello gardeners

quick question, i got a bag of my dealer to tide me over to my next harvest anyways i found quite a few seeds in the marijuana and it was pretty top notch stuff. so the question is, is it most likely that one of the plants hermied and that's where the seeds came from, or an actually male?i believe it was grown indoors.

i am germinating them now and if they sprout is there a way to tell if they are hermie before budding? I heard some branches of a hermie are male and some female, can i clone a female branch?

guess it wasn't really a quick one....

thanks cc

I'd sprout a few and see what you get. It's a sign of clean genetics if you get true males.

dude you got weed from a dealer which means more people than him have it which means it was commercially grown in a large field with females and males present. thats why when you buy it has seeds

I your seedling turn out all female, or female mixed with hemies, then it was seeded by a hermie.

If you have 50/50 female/male then it was normal male pollination

ya right it could easily be grown indoors and the seeds could be from hermie. I found like 6 through out the 1/2 ounce and i am germinating them, two have already sprouted and i can see that the others are very close keep you all posted

Were they in the middle of the buds closer to the stalk or on the outter edges? Normally your seeds from a real male are in the inner buds closer to the stalk because males typically flower before females. Outter stuff means the pollen came later which can probably attributed to a hermie pollination.

damn Satch, now that is an excellent observation, can't believe i missed that.

So these seeds are prolly hermie, but they sprouted in 2 days and seem strong so i'm gunna grow them out to be certain

I dont think ^that is a good rule, i seeded a plant once, 1.5 weeks into flowering and it was FULL of seeds inside the buds close to the stem and poping off the outside of the buds too. and i have grown plenty of bag seeds and NEVER had a hermie.

interesting, thanks! like i said i'm still going to grow them out. When could i tell if they were hermie? Will they have male and female parts in veg? or do i have to flower them to see?

You missed the point of what I said. Normally a male opens up and starts slinging pollen before your females have more than 1-2 pistols per node. Male gets pulled, no more seeds except for the CENTER of the buds~

you have to flower them out to see if its a male, female, or hermie, i understand what you^ are saying. but if you have a male that is slinging pollen there is still pollen in the room after you pull him and this will continue to pollinate the plants. it happend to me, i only wanted a couple of seeds and i got hundreds.

lol, nothing can save your plants from pollen being slung around with a fan. Pretty sure water kills the pollen.
