these are the seeds after after 48 hours. 4 out 0f the 5 are sprouting. should i wait a little longer or plant them?

they are planted. used an entire water bottle on all four party cups. htey are udner me light. how long you think they will take to break through the soil?

A few days max. You should not have to water for a while because you dont want the soil too wet, just moist.

At this point you cant go wrong with 18hrs on. It really does not matter until they break ground but 18hrs is a good place to be.

i use 18/6 for a light schedule, but general practise is ranging 18\6 to 24\0 depends on what you want to do.
Also did you make drainage holes in your party cups?? Because you dont want that excess water staying in the cup, could cause root rot problems.

i have one cup inside the other with holes and a spacer. plenty of drainage. at the moment i have on 20 watt cfl for now untill i get my paycheck friday

will the one 20 watt be ok? like can i get away with one cfl at a higher watt for now? like maybe a 100 watt equivalent

one cfl is not going to be enough for five plants, i dont know much about the cfls but from my understanding you need defs need a few of them and keep them close to the plants, like inches away. You dont wanna stretch your seedlings.
