Seed Germination

Well I'm starting! And so far I've had good success with two strains, and a third will simply NOT germinate. I used the same technique of a damp paper towel in a warm dark area... first 2 seeds for 3 days then a 3rd seed for another two days, now I've added a 4th to a separate container just in case, and still nothing after about 36 hours. My other seeds germinated in 18 hours and 24 hours. Should I just throw all 10 in water? I have room in my grow for 1 more plant and I REALLY want to try this strain - Orange Bud. Does it just take a week to germ? Also, now I have my first of the three functional seeds above the rockwool and starting to form its first leaves! This means if I do germ an Orange Bud in the next few days she will be a week behind the tallest seedling so far. That might cause issues with the light heights and flowering times (all in one room). Thanks for any tips/info. I have some pics so far but they are just of sprouts. I will begin a grow log on here when I get 3-4 sprouting with leaves.

Peace,

B

I've read that germination can take up to 10 days, but in my very limited experience, it seems like if it doesn't happen in 2-3 days... probably not going to happen. Just make sure that it's warm enough to kick off the germination. Maybe these little seeds need more of a boost? I would probably try to keep them around 85-90F and give them a few more days.

I used to love the paper towel method until it stopped being successful. I put them in a paper towel for one day and then just about before they crack I drop them in soil. Works everytime for me.

Thanks for your help guys, I'll leave the 4 OB seeds in their damp paper towels for another week before I give up. Meanwhile, my first SSH seed has broken free of its seed shell! Hell yessss so exciting lol. Other two are still trying to establish good rooting I think.
