Seed gremination problems

Ok so i got seed from (AMS) and so far i have only had one to germinate and spout:wall: So what am i doing wrong. Btw im using the plate method is there a better way?
 
Everyone has a different opinion...but I ALWAYS get 90%+ germ from just putting them into soil...1/4 " deep.
 
Soak 24 hours. If you don't have a tap root by then, put them in paper towels(damp) in a ziplock bag. Keep them warm but not hot the whole time. The best thing to do is put them on top of your fridge.
 
I do a 12 hour soak, then into the soil. Works well for me. I put them just under the soil in a solo cup a little over half full. after sprouting they strech a bit. I just fill in as needed with more soil to fill the cup up and shoten the strech.
