Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I need some advice... i germinated a seed three days ago and havent had a sprout yet...should i be worried?

i checked and the seed DOES have a tap root...should i just be a lil more patient or should i start over?

i am using a bubbleponics...res temp is around 75 deg. humidity level is high, around 85%. i can only get my cabinet to stay at 70 deg. due to the cold weather outside. pH is good at a consistent 5.8.

any suggestions?

depending on the quality of the seed it could take 1 or 2 weeks after 2 weeks tho throw away the seed if it has not germinated cos it means the seeds useless

Ya know i didnt notice that you said it had the root showing.. so id do like someone said before and discard of it after like a week or 2..

you should germinate seeds in paper towel ,or a cloth first. then put in in the gerninated seeds into the bubbleponic setup.... i would think, but i have never used hydro

thats what i did...did the paper towel method to germinate then when i saw a tap root i placed it in the system. although i have read you can germinate in the bubbleponics as long as you have the right temps, etc.

Place your seeds in a wet paper towel and fold it, then place it in a zipblock bag and let it sit for another 3 days. always positive results with me

so you guys think i should take the seed out of the rockwool and put it back in a saturated paper towel and then put it in the ziplock..warm place until sprout?

sounds like a plan!

okay guys...i took your advice...and i think i just got a batch of bad seeds cuz still no luck...i havent pitched them yet...but surely they would be sprouting by now. i even took one a kept it in a shot glass 1/2 full of ds water and then once it sank i took it out and added it back to the bunch in the towel...nothing

fyi,
got the seeds from the doctor...dr. chronic...he has a good rep for being a trustworthy doctor so i went with him...Big Bang strain...5 feminised. they looked fine, but they were small and i wouldve like them to be a lil more brown...they were a darkish green with the tiger stripes.

i think im going to order some more, just got to convince the wife to let me spend the money!

I girminated my seeds right in Jiffy(peet) pucks and it seems to be working ok and it was very easy, I soaked the puck in a white plastic cup half full of water, than the puck expanded to about 2", I drained off excess water (left the puck in the cup), I dropped the seed into the hole of the puck, covered it with plastic wrap and gave it light. But I could of just been lucky b/c I hear mixed things about jiffy pucks. Perhaps trying a seedling heat mat may help.
Just my two cents. Good luck either way

i just ordered more seeds...went with Nirvana this time...and they offered some of those pucks with the order, so i got some coming. i also starting experimenting and took all my seeds that ive been trying to germ, and since they are pretty moist i took a razor blade and sliced the sides open...i seen how thick the shell is on these so that might be one of my problems.
