a hybrid is any cross between two plants of non identical genetics. although even 2 seeds from the same branch can have wildly different properties due to the way rna combines to form subtle variations.
theres species spacific hybrids. like crossing 2 differant strains of pot.
or cross hybridization where 2 plants of differant species are cross polinated to see what occurs, like cucumber and squash, they can easily cross (happens in my garden every year, i havent decided on squacumbers, or cuquash) sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, mostly reliant on chromosome count and if the internal workings of the plants is close enough. although even then they say most cross hybrids are sterile and will never produce seed
thats how we got seedless watermelon
and the reason bannanas have no seed. (<----- that is if im remebering corectly)

Does that mean the pollen from the different strain will empart its traits and the seeds will be a new strain yes???
i would think so but then im not an expert on breeding... u should try psting this in the "advanced" forume

It's more of a roll of the dice when combining two different strains. Some desireable qualities will be passed but not all. It's not like you can cross a short with a tall and always get short. You'll get a mix and then you pick which is desirable for you.

yep its pretty much a luck of the draw then after you grow the hybrids look for more traits u want then fertilize it with a boy with traits u care for and then when u get seeds of those 2 you just keep narrowing it down till u get a strain that tends to not have traits u care for and that is ur end strain and then get those seeds named (strain name) and copy right it hehe, and enter it in the Cannabis Cup and great luck to u bro

No bery tasting yet. I did try a blue cheese on a couple of grows but they were duds.

Yep I agree with you with self experimentation (Big word heh I even spelled it right lol)
I only grown White Rhino for the record and my girlfriend and 2 friends are very happy (don't smoke myself but, I love the knowledge I need to maintain plant health (trying at times)

Go to Attitude and look at TGA Subcool's seeds and check out Pandora's Box (that sounds dirty some how!). I wanted the same and this is what I bought for my next grow.
