Seed still has shell on it.

I'm just going to leave it. It doesn't look right yet. The shell looks ready to pop off but at the tip or the bud (not shell) it's a light brown. Strange....

Here's what I do when the shell lingers on the new seedling. I mist it with my spray bottle and let it sit for about 5 minutes. This softens the seed shell and makes it easier to get off. I then take a small set of scissors or tweezers and ever so gently pick off the seed shell.

Sometimes when you get the shell off it still has a little sack wrapped around it. I forget what it's called but I also mist it and VERY GENTLY pick it off. Take your time, go slow, that's what the ladies like.
NOTE: I only do this when the seedling has popped out of the soil and is looking for light. Also its tap root has ran into the soil and it is sturdy (for a seedling)

You see this is in hydroton so I think it's going to be shorter & weaker than a soil seedling. Thanks for the input tho :)

It looks like it's coming along. I think that brown ring is an interior layer of the seed. Just give it more time.
